Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - February 2007

do you guys think that the sudden proliferation of gay magazines mean that our society is beginning not only to tolerate, but accept members of the third sex?

moreover, do you think that the magazines affect the public's image of the filipino gay? or the gay's image of himself?

im looking for ideas on how to start my thesis, and any help would be much appreciated.

Most of us are proud of our sexuality, but for those of us who have faced ridicule and pain because they are gay, if you had the option would you have honestly chosen to be gay.

i am a male transgendered in the process of changing to female. i live in a small redneck town and i choose to stay here in my home town while i am going thru my transition. everyone says that i am going to be very pretty and not to worry. why do i worry so much about what others think about me instead of caring about what i want and what will make me happy? everyone that knows i am changing supports me and will be there for me but why on earth do so many people judge others for trying to live thier own life and not worry about thiers? i just want to become female without all the hassle. i am a regular average normal girl who cares about others and has never hurt anyone.

Ya ya, so I have been in a relationship for a really LONG time and my man has agreed and is supportive of me wanting to try experimenting with women, I told him that he could be there when it happened if it did, but that he couldn't do anything with her. He is MORE than happy to watch from the corner whatever happens. Has anyone had a good or bad experience with this they would like to share? I was using my boyfriends phone last night to take some pictures and found some pics of legs in fishnet stockings and a pic of someone in a skirt and stockings (obviously taken by the person wearing them as that particular shot was done in a mirror if that makes sense...) I confronted my boyfriend as i immediately assumed (as most would!) that he had cheated on me (recently - the pics werent on there a month or so ago!) & been taking pics of "her" on his phone..He went quiet & upset looking & slowly admitted that it was HIM in the pics - he says that he had gone out and bought the stockings and then tried on his sisters shoes (heels) and a skirt.....he seemed genuine - cried with what appeared to be embarrassment - i comforted him (because i love him dearly and dont want to lose him if that is the truth about pics) but i still feel confused. did he maybe just come up with gud excuse to hide cheating? If so, i would have thought there'd be pics of "her" face/other body parts??

It seems a good chunk of the Q's on gay area are religious folk telling us how we're gonna burn etc etc (all i hear is blah blah blah)...would this be diminished if both categories weren't under the "cultures" umbrella together?

I dont have a problem mixing sexuality with religion (i'm gay and also have an respect for religion/spirituality) but just wondering if it would get rid of a lot of the pointless posts.

I'm bi, and my best friend isn't and I thought I was over being attracted to her. I have found that I have to monitor my friendships with other non-straight people more so than those with straight friends -- but I have still gained a lot of insight and support from gay, lesbian, and bisexual friends. Still, at times, it seems that the great "connection" between us is that we are not straight, not that we necessarily have similar values, like each others company, or enjoy doing things together.

I think that is about the funniest thing I have read on here so far. A guy named Joseph T asked a question (something along the lines of defeating the homosexuals and getting them off the Christian lands) and when one person replied by reporting sir Joseph T, Joe edited his question to say he had activated Gaywatch Alert Warning System. In science today my teacher was saying that new studies have shown that the youngest male child in a family is more likely to be gay. This is because whilst pregnant, a woman produces a large amount of testosterone to the brain of the male baby but studies have shown that each pregnancy finds the woman producing less testosterone to the males brain and therefore not giving it its "masculinity". This has only been shown/proven for male homosexuality not female. So, do you think it is a result of nature or nurture?
