I've known my current BF sicne when i was 12, we didn't start dating until i was19.
We've known each other for so long b/c he is the son of my dads frat brother. when we i was about 17 and he was a sophmore in college thats when we really started to "get to know each other".
when i was 19 we went into a full relationship and have dated ever since.
So now, I'm 21 and will be 22 on the 1st, and he's 25.

He got into a car accident a few months ago and was SO close to dying, but i was there at the hospital with him almost every waking minute. He's alive and well now. Last week we celebrated his 25th bday and he told me that he wants to be only with me, and once i've graduated next year he wants to permenatly commit, or if legal get married. He told me to take my time.
I Know i love him, but I'm scared. But he's like my soulmate i doubt ill meet someone else who sexy, good in bed, successful, knows me better than anyone else, and is mentally sane. think I'll be ready by then??

I swear every time I turn around someone always says something about us:


being on welfare
having kids outta wedlock
having an attitude
being overtly aggressive
being unattractive unless we are mixed
and the list goes on...

I'm not gonna lie there are a lot of black woman like that but not all of us are.

I'm a good mostly mellow person. I don't have an attitude or 5 different baby daddys. I'm not only concerned with only partying and sex. I like to concentrate on my studies(sometimes) though I may not be the smartest person. My family also lives in a decent neighborhood and is doing okay and is not on welfare.

There are plenty other people like me so whats the deal.

I keep reading the same questions, wording slightly changed, and the same answers keep showing up (mainly I'm thinking "is being gay a choice?") The same fervor is coming from the same keyboards, and nothing ever changes.

My answer is simple : in some cases yes but most cases no because all the gay ppl i know aren't really gay their bi and i think its a choice they choose to like guys or girl and some are put i n a situation to try it out and they enjoy it like a drug agree or disagree all i want to know is your answer

Alright, here's the deal: I've casually know this guy who I think is really hot and recently learned he would be interested in hooking up with me. I've only had sex once before, and I know how a lot of gay guys are about sex -- but I'm not really like that. I don't want to be used, but at the same time, I'm up for a good time.
