...are the same arguments made by opponents to the Civil Rights Movement in the 50's & 60's? They said things like,"It's against God's will" or "This is the way it's always been" or, my favorite: "This will destroy the fabric of our society."
Can any non-KKK member still make these same arguments 50 years later against Civil Rights for African Americans? 50 years from now, won't these arguments against gay marriage seem as grotesque?

I have recently shared space with several gay people and although I am a heterosexual, I found it interesting yet curious about why sexual orientation is so important that people must feel compelled to let their sexual identity be known without being asked. In most cases of my interactions with others, sexual orientation is not an issue.

Here is a religion that was founded by a warrior who was also a great leadereven though he was a womanizer and slightly demented. I am curious---muslims are afraid of their own shadows, despite all the heroics about jihad and Mohammed and his four apostles. And yet they are afraid to share any decisions with women.

Same goes for Swami Narayan followers. Their head honcho is afraid to even see women, eat with women. In fact if you are a woman, you will have towait till men eat and often eat in their left over plate. What kind of religion is them.

Did both religions come out of same prophet?

... enjoyed any economic security? In the 20th Century, has there been a Central or S. American country that hasn't had a violent revolution or an oppressive dictator? Are there any S. or Central American countries that has any sort of middle class (like a country where 90% of the people aren't dirt poor, with a tiny handful of rich people)?
I'm not trying to bag on them, I'm just curious. If the answer is "no," why do you think that is?

I don't hate gay people, but they sure don't deserve special rights. Why don't we just have the same equal rights for drunks?

Note: Anyone that responds to this that is not in the Gay community and bashes or has snide comments to make will be reported. Thank you.
