You asked for the truth so I hope I can give you some insight. I think for the most part most people (most not all) who are not a minority have limited interaction with other races. I can already hear some of you saying "that's not true, some of my best friends are black!" However it's the truth. Walk into any high school or college campus' lunchroom and you'll see what i'm talking about. "Most" black kids are sitting with other black kids, most hispanics are sitting with other hispanics, white kids with other white kids etc. No one is forcing them to segregate but they simply feel more comfortable surrounded by there peers.

The only interaction most have is through the media or story's relayed by other people. My own experience has been when seeing a black person on the media it's usually negative. When I see black kids in schools or in public, it almost appears they are going out of there way to portray themselves as rough and tough individuals? When I try to listen to them speak it almost seems as though they do not care if they sound ignorant or not. However the flip side to this is my co-workers, friends, and neighbors who are black. They are all very well educated (most have higher education then myself), very well spoken, and we always seem to have the same likes, dislikes, and aspirations. I'm not sure I've answered your questions but I think I accurately relayed my confusion on the entire issue and I tried to remain honest.

Personally, I have no problem with you or your race. My half brother and sister are half black. I have only really seen two issues that tend to be race-specific. Black women tend to see each other as competition, and therefore must destroy each other. And there is still a problem with young people being accused of "acting white" if they care at all about their education. But this doesn't apply to all black people, just a select group that tends to stand out and make spectacles of themselves. I think that most issues are personal issues, issues that a person of any race could have, and that anything that needs fixing needs to come from the person, not the race.

There are good and bad apples from every race or nationality. People should focus on their own behaviors and morals as individuals rather than in groups.
If people only respected themselves and others we could learn a lot.

Bill Cosby seems to have taken a approach to raise some brows over things he feels African Americans need to work on, I think more people like him are needed, and what i mean is that if more people in the community cared and spoke out even in a provocative manner people would think about things with some depth. Opra is another leader that looks at the whole picture...

I hope you succeed in helping the community.

I don't know you so I have no reason to have a problem with you. If I did, it wouldn't be because of your race. The only group I'm prejudice against are A**holes and they come in all flavors.

If I had a wish for a certain segment of the black population, it would be to take it upon themselves to break out of some of the social ills that plague certain areas, mainly urban. There is a large enough population in some of these areas to be self sufficient rather than feeling as if they have to rely on outside help or that the outside is oppressing them. There are other areas which are predominantly one culture who thrive economically catering to their culture. From that point it can spread out to encompass all areas. They start by being self sufficient. Not all these cultures came from other countries who were prosperous. The black population is a huge market within itself and should be able to become self sustaining.

That's just my observation.

I don't think there is anything you need to improve apon as a race. There are just a lot of individuals that are not motivated to improve their own life, and it turns out a lot of them are black. I think that at this point in our society anyone who wants to go to school, work hard, get a job, and support themselves can do it. I really don't think that the system it self is holding back minorities very much at all anymore. It probably still is a little bit, but not nearly as bad as it has been in the past.

I think the next step forward is a lot of black people need to start taking responsibilty for their own lives. It's finally starting to get to the point where black people have as much freedom as white people, but with freedom comes responsibilty.

Of course taking responsibilty for your life is a problem for people of any color. I just think that in many cases minorities have this feeling like, they shouldn't bother trying to work for a better life, because the white man won't let them have one. Thats just not true anymore, or atleast not as bad as some make it seem.

Race is the HUMAN RACE. So I don't have a problem with your race. You may have a different ethnic background than me but so what? There's more genetic difference between brown eyes (which I have) and blue eyes than in skin color differences. Let's just all get over it. As for having a problem with you personally, I may if I actually met you and this was the first question you asked because it sounds as if you may have a small chip on your shoulder. Let's all drop our rocks and step away from the stoning circle. There's a BBQ in the back yard. Let's eat!

I don't know what is in the white people let them think that they're better than the black people although the black people are the dawn of all the Civilizations... ( I am a white man )...

the only problem i have with some black people is that they act like the white people owe them something and that when some say that they didn't ask to be in this country.as far as reason # 2 well i say i didn't ask to be here either. i was born here just as they were. the blacks that were forced to come here are long dead. i know that those times were as terrible as they get and were as wrong as can be but come on! if they don't want to be here and that is the way they feel then leave. now for reason #1 things in this country need to improve as far as equality goes. i know we are moving forward with this but we really need to pick up the pace. but as far as owing anything by whites we are not the ones who enslaved their people and we owe them nothing that we don't owe everyone else. so i say to those that go around wanting special rights or compensation because their ancestors were slaves GET OVER IT!!! you deserve no more than the next man or woman white, black, or otherwise

No. I can't imagine how boring it would be if all people, races, etc. were the same. I'm a white man who adopted a black child. It's cliche, but people are people. The world will be a much better place when we all realize that. Awesome question!

I have no more problem with a black man as I do with any other race. I have a problem when people are mean and rude. I don't care your skin color, everyone should be treated the same.
