Why are muslims and SwamiNarayanis (hindus) so insecure?They are afraid of women, afraid of other religions?

Here is a religion that was founded by a warrior who was also a great leadereven though he was a womanizer and slightly demented. I am curious---muslims are afraid of their own shadows, despite all the heroics about jihad and Mohammed and his four apostles. And yet they are afraid to share any decisions with women.

Same goes for Swami Narayan followers. Their head honcho is afraid to even see women, eat with women. In fact if you are a woman, you will have towait till men eat and often eat in their left over plate. What kind of religion is them.

Did both religions come out of same prophet?

Both religions don't come from the same man, as far as I know. You need to look at the founders to understand the fear of women. Mohammed told his followers they could have up to four wives, while a wife could only have one husband. He also said, "Your wives are as a tilth (a field to be ploughed) unto you, so aproach your tilth when or how ye will." Surah 2:223. He, however, gave himself special rights. He could have more wives, up to nine, and one was only eleven when he married her (Ayesha). He also made his adopted son divorce his wife Zaynab Bint Jahsh, so he could marry her. He married his own daughter in law! Obviously he was a womaniser, who viewed women as property. You view a dog as your property so you keep it in line so that it won't turn on you. The same goes for Muslims. Also, they view men as higher than women. They submit to Allah, who is higher than men, so women have to submit to men. Islam means "submission".

This Antonio guy is making stuff up, he knows that people in here dont have a qoran to check if what he is saying is true, but I do! There are a lot of interpretations of the quran and this Antonio guy doesnt have the knowledge to do it right. The prophet did no such thing, its a big fat lie!

You absorb everything you see in the media. Do you know a single muslim? It depresses me to see that people are so narrow minded. Another persons answer was that islam sucks and so on. Its people like that that cause conflict and war. I would never disrespect another religion even if I didnt believe in it. But when people are stupid enough to do that.. well you see whats going on the world.

You think muslim men are the ones that suppress women, well let me tell you something. In the west muslim women are not given a job because of the headscarf on their heads. In france they cant even go to school. They are spitted on and sworn at in the street by europeans. So tell me now again, who is really suppressing these women???

In the name of god , I am soooo sad to raed those unfair words , simply bcz Islam is the most religion that kept all womens' rights not only keeping them but gives them other rights that weren't found before Islam . And prophet mohamed no words can explain how he was good , kind, romantic husband , and a great father too.and he asks all men to be kind to women , in fact he had 12 wives realy i hope i was one of them sure they were the most happy women in the world , ahh i forget to tell u that both religions not from the same prophet .iam a muslim girl and i proud of that.

Please remember, that progressive forward thinking Muslims are rarely interesting enough to be seen in the news, on TV, or in movies. There are Muslims who aren't as sexist as we tend to think and don't support terrorism. Of course if the news where going to report about a healthy family of Muslims living a boring secure life, they might as well cover something else, it just doesn't sell papers.
I don't know anything about Swami Narayan so i can't really comment. but I, am from a Hindu family. and there are things about Hinduism that i will disagree with other Hindus on. if you SEARCH for dirt on any religion, you WILL find it.
for that matter, I've met some pretty evil atheists in my life. I've also met some atheists who have inspired me to be a better person. it's all about you sample group.

It could be that they know Women are smarter, better organized, and reason better than men. Kuwait just passed a law continueing the practice that women cannot hold office. I think if women had been in charge when Saddam overran Kuwait they would have kicked some A S S.

I find that most religions are male-dominated. It is due to the fear that they secretly believe women are stronger and smarter. That's my guess, anyway. But look at how religion treats women? Even Christianity and the Catholic religion until recently were as barbaric and cruel in their actions towards women. Just read a little bit of history. Then again, most religions are barbaric in their nature anyway. Just look at how warped some peoples minds are.
