..beaten. He lives in the building next to mine, they're adjoining & his room seems to be attatched to mine. I can hear the blows being administered this very minute & him screaming. He is begging & pleading for her to stop & the mother is merciless. He seems to be about preteen or teenager. The right thing would be to call the police, but I am the outsider & have a son who comes home on his own from school, I don't want him being hurt because of me when I'm not around. What can I do?

I am not familiar with the Fire Dept rank structure. I am wondering: if you've been on the fire dept for...let's say......16 years shouldn't you at least be a Lt or Capt or at a minimum, a Driver or sernior driver?

I know someone with this length of time in at the Fire Dept and he's achieved the rank of Fire Fighter. He recently admitted that he'd had some personal issues where ex wife or former lover/girlfriend called the Dept and made some false allegations against him. He refused to divulge if he recvd any disciplinary action as a result. I can't help but wonder (now that I've been exposed to some of his BS) now if he hasn't risen in rank due to his bad attitude/behaviors versus discrimmination.

Does the Dept have policies that can cause you to not be promoted when you have personal issues?

I'm not a big fan of fast food. But my mom one night made me try the McDonald's Snack Wrap. From then on, I can't get away from it. It's my lover. But will something happen? I mean it's gotten so bad, I eat it almost everyday! I don't want to get fat or nothing. (Don't want to brag but it's hard for me to gain a pound lol.)

I just ordered an item and the tracker says that usps is delivering. It is either coming today (didnt), tomorrow, or labor day. I was told that they dont deliver on Labor Day, and I did research and that is true but I couldn't find if they delivered on Sunday. Someone said they didn't but I saw on the website they did! Soo confused, please help me!!!!!!!

There are so many kids in this world who are in orphanages that have no families, yet if you want to help, and maybe raise a few of them, you are charged ridiculous amounts of money, like $10,000 a kid. There are 25,000 kids a year in the Ukraine alone who become orphans, and it seems strange that only rich people are allowed to help. Any input?

I am a mature student, wife and mother of two children. I want to do something to contribute to society but have little free time so would be better doing something from home, possibly using the computer.
