There are many, many forums out there on the web, and if this one doesn't suit you, there are bound to be others that do.

The need for attention, that they feel they probably don't get in their lives. As the saying goes there are no stupid questions only stupid people. Oh, I guess that was harsh. I don't believe that they are stupid, just really, really bored!! We can all hope that they find some other way to unleash their imaginations.

To get a rise out of people, obviously. It satisfies some voyeristic need to see the way people react to the outrageous and the perverse. I believe most of the illiterate, stupid questions being asked here are asked by posers, ie older guys who pretend they are really young or naive.
