Depends on many factors: household income, family values, and personal upbringing to name a few. For some women, the well being of her family is most important, and for others their success in their careers hold just as much weight. Also the husbands have differing views of what role their spouse should play. Some men who were raised by stay at home moms want the same thing for their children and others don't mind if their wife continues to work after children. Whatever the choice, it will only work if both parties agree with the decision and actively work together to make the decision successful.

A housewife works in the house and a working woman works in the house and outside the house too. The only difference is the woman with the outside job gets paid for the outside work she does. I have been both and would take working at home, bringing up my kids any day. I went back to work and had the same amount to do at home as I did before.

housewife, not hosewifife
neither are better. i am a full-time working woman and i admire the women who are able to stay home with their family to raise them. childcare is expensive and is usually the reason a mother chooses to stay home. but many moms want to be out in the working field, it's a break to them. i do not have children but have the utmost respect for women who manage careers and a family. a woman who is a housewife or working out of the home is working all the time.

What's the difference? The only thing is that one works outside the home and the other works at home. Neither is better than the other.

A working woman and a housewife both plays different role in their respected families. a working women earn and help his husband to manage funds for family even when she knows it is difficult to a woman to earn with respect to man. And every mother loves her child and family both housewife and working woman gave attention to their respected families. but in that case a housewife can gave more time then a working woman. that's why other family members can't able to understand the love of working woman. In my opinion working woman is better then those housewife's who are busy in their society time pass. these are my option but there is no comparison between them in different families they have different role and she is like luxmi in every family.

I dont think you can define "better" in those terms. I think that if both were to live in the others shoes for a day, they would see that they both have difficult "jobs".
Although I do feel that stay at homes seem to complain a lot about being under appreciated.

Neither one is "better".....it's all a matter of what you want to do. Either one is hard work. And as with everything, you get out of it what you put into it. But then again, anything worthwhile IS hard work.
