Now it is 2007 and you still sit at home watching Fox News doing nothing to help the Christians in Africa?

When one thinks of the word "black," it usually has bad connotations (not race, i mean color) that bring about ideas relating to evil, darkness, and fear. Darkness has always been associated with negative events, aspects, etc. Black Tuesday was the day the stock market crashed. Black Christmas is the recent horror film where everything goes wrong and evil creatures come out in the night. In contrast, "white" has been associated with purity, innocence, beauty, and holiness. The word "light" (as in the color tone/description) brings about thoughts relating to things like angels, God, awakening, dawn of a new day, refreshing, and everything opposite of what "darkness" has become associated with. I mean, I have never seen a black baby depicted as an angel, while I have seen white babies depicted as little pure angels all the time. I think that it is ridiculous. I question, however, if the negative connotations of "black" and "darkness" is part of the reason why there racism against blacks.

I was just told by several people that the reason God(Jesus) had be born of the virgin Mary and live for 30 years as a human being was so that he "could understand what it is to be human."

What???? . . . . . . God, the one who created us, had to come down here and be a human being himself for awhile in order to understand what it's like to be one?

Is this right? Or did the people who told me this just give a wrong answer?

If you are on here then you are obviously sitting behind a pc screen and have access to the same VAST amounts of info as the rest of us! Most of the answers I see are STRAIGHT from the internet anyway so , why is it that these serial "askers" don't just research their questions on their own?

Here are a couple reasons I get for asking, "Why african Americans dont work hard to better themselves in society" (check my profile)
1. Media Conspiracy- The media DOES NOT commit the crime, they just report it! They dont give the black guy a gun to rob and rape someone, there are solid stats to prove it.
2. Slavery - For crying out loud I haven't known any white man who owned a slave, do you? why do blacks feel the need to be compensated.
3. Poverty, lack of Help- This I find laughable, we hear of stories from immgrants, AFRICANS, MEXICANS, CHINESE who come to this country, from war torn countries, no parents, poor, who cant even speak english. They work real hard to have an education, job, a stable family, and a quality life. Help is everywhere, you just have to have the WILL to look for it.
Im sick and tired off all this complaining from African-Americans, frankly they are giving the AFRICANS a bad wrap in this country. We all need to pitch in to make his "america" work.

This article here

http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?cid=1162385930696&pagename=IslamOnline-English-AAbout_Islam%2FAskAboutIslamE%2FAskAboutIslamE

says that Pope John Paul II could pray in a mosque because:

"[Christians] believe in one God, but that one God is understood in a different way"... (three parts - God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) ..."to the way Muslims believe in Allah (which is, after all, the Arabic name for this one God).

That is why, for example, Pope John Paul II, the leader of the world's Roman Catholics who died in 2005, and the Grand Mufti of Syria could pray together in the Great Mosque of Damascus. They were praying to the same God but had different ideas about what that God was like."

I am still not clear on this. What was the man who wrote the article talking about? Is Allah like the whole trinity or just God the Father (since in the Quran it does not say that God had a son).

I hope you can understand what I am asking?
