People who don't believe in God?Most of them try to tell eveybody their stupid and need to get a life.I don't know why they think they are so great.

I recently read an article with the following quote: "Tellingly two founders of a ministry established to 'heal' homosexuals later described their program as 'ineffective ... not one person was healed'."

Question: Why are some people gay? Do you believe that 80% of people (including heterosexuals) have had an attraction to their same gender at some point in their life? Do you believe being gay is a phase? Or do you believe people are born gay? What makes people gay? Is it genetics? Why do you think so? Or is it a choice? In a society that makes it very difficult to be gay, why do you think people would make that choice? Do you think people's upbringing and lifetime circumstances affect people and cause them to become gay?

So for out club at school, we were planning a benefit concert with some local bands, but we can't agree on who to donate the money to. We want to help out a cause that most people don't know about. Darfur, AIDS and breast cancer are all good causes, but so many people donate to them, we want to find a cause that doesn't get as much attention.

I was a guest at a church recently and enjoyed it. But the pastor made a statement that kinda threw me. He was talking about how everyone should be living up to the Lords standards and nothing less. And if there is someone in his church that isn't doing that and is pulling the church down, they would kick them to the curb. I was basically shocked. What is your opinion on the statement, cause I just don't know what to think.

I am making a gift for a little boy who is part Native American, and I have found nice graphics with eagle feathers I would like to include. What I need to know... is there a difference between one eagle feather hanging down, and two eagle feathers hanging down? We're early 20's and in end of college. we've been together about a year. i live w/2 roommtes but am looking for a new place closer to school. he still lives at home w/parents but will but moving out but the end of the school year (may/june 07) b/c of a job and getting a higher degree. we spend about 2-3 nights together now and see each other every day anyhow, so i think living together would be sensible. how should i go about asking him his opinion on this topic? any time better than others to bring it up?

I am in my mid 30's, not currently married and consider myself to be an independant, intellegent, forward thinking woman.

However, I really want to settle down with a man who wants to "take care of me" meaning he works and I take care of the household and him and maybe work p/t.

as you open the door, you are confronted by a child, around 4-6 years old, with their hair in a mess, tears running down their face, wearing ripped clothes, bruises and marks on their face, arms, looking dishevelled, worried and having slightly distressed look on their face. in other words, resembling an orphan from the third world. what would you do in a situation like this? would you call social services and the police, invite the child in your home and take care of him/her until he/she is well or get someone else to look after them?
