How do you describe the covenant between God and the Jewish people as it is narrated in Torah? What do you think, personally, about referring to the Jews as “the chosen people?” What are the flaws in the notion of a “chosen people?” How do you think Jews feel about being the chosen ones?

i mean theres like a 1000 diff ways to interpret the bible. one person tells me that they are against gays. then the next person says that being against gays isnt christian. which one is right??? is there any continuity?

this morning at work this guy started making ugly remarks about me im some what over weight (not extremly) but got the spare tire if u know what i mean anywase he started out with a comment behind my back which i heard and confronted him, he tried to play stupid then after that he got real nasty and just wouldnt stop with the fat jokes and calling me a dyke all sorts of stuff well i was so humlated i walked out and said i quit and called the district manager and told her what happend and he got fired and she told me to come to work tomorrow but now i feel really awkward 2 other plp saw him making fun of me but just acted like they didnt hear anything and just kept walking i feel like i ratted him out or something but i know what i did was right.. would you return to work after that?

She's been in the school for a while. But I just so happened to notice her this year. Anways, I like her alot. And I have no idea on how I should aproach her....when I have the guts to. I know there are such things as genetic markers that would define a group of people. The person who converts would still carry these genetic markers. There were a group of people in Africa that were tested and their dna could be traced to the Jewish people. They were thought to be decendents of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. They were still following Jewish customs and traditions and some returned to Israel. Anyway, the fact remains that they could be identified with their dna as being a part of the Jewish nation. How can anyone deny their dna? I am confused. Jewish folks out there please explain.

We've lived in our neighbourhood for 4 years now. The first two years nearly every other house on the street had some form of decorations. Then last year, there was a decline with less decorations but still consistent jack o' lanterns.

Tonight on our street only our home and one 8 houses down were done. No pumpkins and hardly anyone handing out candy.

How was the street you live on? And how do you feel about it?

a friend said that a girl who moved in to another frinds home was a witch, so he took a piece of paper and he drew a pentagram. made some words. on it. she came runing out of the bedroom with her robe being pulled on all in a hurry, looked at my friend, had a bic lighter allready in her hand and lit the paper and moved out the nexrt day,the black cats my friend had when she moved in all got crazy mean but got nice again after she left.I was just now telling this story to a friend about what had happend years ago and on the way to the store a long haired black cat walked in front of the car, damn. what do you think of why black cats get mean like that around witchs, damn strange I saw one in my path tonight after telling him that story, dont you think?
