I was Baptized Orthodox, but was raised Catholic/that is where my beliefs lie. Can I still go to Confession or will I have to go through Confirmation first?

Why can't you people see that if we Christians could just convert everyone in the world to follow Jesus Christ, then there would be peace. The problem is all of these false religions that cause these wars. Once everyone is converted to Christianity then everyone will be happy!

Jesus Christ for everyone!

A similar question was asked earlier and it sparked some interest.

Many Germans, Italians and other people that reside in a country that lies in the Europe side of Eurasia are sometimes called Europeans. But since Russia's large land size occupies land in Eurasia, both Europe and Asia then are some Russians considered Asian? I have never heard of a Russian being called Asian. I have heard them being called European though.

The americans say "I am GOING TO GO there"
meaning he is going there soon or in the nearest future. But the British don't speak that way. They simply simply say "I am going there"

And of late I am learning Spanish and there also I see this "GOING TO" effect. They say "Voy a decirle"....meaning "I am going to tell him" (the exact word by word translation)

Now my question is whether the americans adopted this "GOING TO" effect from the Spanish or the Spanish adopted this from the americans?

Plz be serious. Linguists are most welcome.

Fat people get the good parking spots, they take up twice the space on airplanes, buses et all. They get to use TAX dollars to pay for Gastric-Bypass and other obesity related health problems. Now Ford has announced they are making BIGGER driver seats to accomodate the larger drivers. What's next?!

When will we just admit that McDonald's is NOT healthy and if you can't restrain yourself from eating then it's YOUR fault, not your slow metablolism which only affact 1-5%.....

When christanity was first getting started reincarnation was part of it. Chriatin values are fine but at what point did christanity take the path of truth to the lies in history. Who would follow a God that would burn someone for eternity for making the wrong desisions. That god sure as hell wont be my god.

I have recently found that my accent is becoming Americanised as I have lived away from home for a long time. I find this a little disturbing as sometimes people think that I am American. How important is your accent to you?

I am reading more and more studies that claim that a higher percentage of Americans are overweight from previous generations.

Why are Americans fat? Is it the culture?

How many people out their think that the Bible teaches that the earth is flat?

Isaiah 40:22 - It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

The Hebrew word for circle refers to a "sphere"

This was spoken by the prophet Isaiah around 3000 years ago. Think about it!

Why is it that I have read in some website that if the man is a MusliM, and the woman is a Christian, then she won't have to convert? I am confused.

No smoking law in pubs and enclosed areas that is now in force in Scotland and is soon to be implemented in England? Do you think that the government will soon make it illegal to smoke in your car and in your own home?

I am just wondering why so many people hate emo people, 'cos I see nothing wrong with the style of dress and music. Several of my friends think emo people are cool most of them though do not know what a emo person is. I have only seen one emo person live in my life as far as I can remember, and I was just passing him on the street and I saw nothing wrong with the way he dressed. I here people saying that they have gone over to emo people and punched them even, and being a MAJOR supporter of the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" I see that as being quite wrong, and I was also thinking that if you were to see an Indian woman dressed in her traditional clothing you would not make fun of her (or at least not as much as what I hear someone would make fun of an emo person) and that do we just make fun of them 'cos they are from our country and are different. I am not trying to start an argument I just want to see other people had to say.
