If you have a 50/50 shot at a prayer getting answered, then why pray? Think about this hypothetical situation. Some one you're close to is on their death bed. If you pray and they live then prayer worked, right? If you pray and they die, it was god's will. Well if it was god's will, and he's going to do whatever he wants to do anyway, regardless of your prayer, then weren't you just talking to yourself?

i understand the mountain moving part is likely metaphoric, but why do prayers to him by true-believers go unanswered? Im sure many true-believers have prayed for world peace or eradication of diseases, and many true-believing amputees have asked for limb regrowth yet it doesnt happen.

There are many other references in the New testament to jesus saying pray and he shall heal you or grant your prayers, he puts no limitations on what you can ask for....

Guests are suppossed to park in a delegated area, These people have 4 teenagers with friends who visit every day. They don't have any respect for other peoples property. The parents are snobs so really unapproachable. We have elderly friends who can't park near our house when they visit. It's driving me nuts. Anyone know how to deal with people who think they own everything?

I see Mormon people all over the place....and the girls are always wearing these ugly dresses and have really long hair....but the guys look stylish and everything....and the girls don't ever look too happy to me....

So I was wondering...does it suck to be a mormon? Is it like Amish?
