I am not talking about my husband's relatives this time, but another house guest we had once. I admit I had to ask her to find another place after less than a month (she was going to stay for 4 months). She was staying up very late and getting up late. After 2 weeks making allowances for "jet lag", I realized it would never work.

do not take it personal, unless u have to. dont mind guys and gals, truth is always painfull. how it comes, such a naivity towards politics and media, and such ignorance towards everything behind US borders, or everyone who has less money.

In the Holy Qur'an God has condemned Suicide in any case, No matter what is wrong with you, live it to God.

Qur'an [2:195] You shall spend in the cause of GOD; do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction. You shall be charitable; GOD loves the charitable.

Qur'an [4:29] O you who believe, do not consume each others' properties illicitly - only mutually acceptable transactions are permitted. You shall not kill yourselves. GOD is Merciful towards you.

Qur'an [4:30] Anyone who commits these transgressions, maliciously and deliberately, we will condemn him to Hell. This is easy for GOD to do.

So any person who claims to be Muslim that take Suicide in order to kill other People, He has killed himself, and He is going to Hell Fire.

Please, if you are with the idea of killing people, Please also STOP, Allah said in the Qur'an:

[Quran17:33] "You shall not kill any person - for GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. ....."

If humans are not born Atheists, children should be able to just know that God exist without ever being told about it.

I noticed that children ask more Atheist type of questions when they first learn about God like "Who made God" or "where is God" or "Why can't we see him" .

The poor child's brain is not developed enough to see that his mother intimidates him with the hell crap just so he can stop thinking like an Atheist or introduces the better safe than sorry game. What do you think?

It doesn't matter if you don't like what science has discovered, because it is what it is. Science is not influenced by politicians, the government, religious groups, or the world. Science is not even biased by the scientific community itself, because all observations and discoveries must be repeatable and free of bias, and are always checked by other scientists.

If scientists discovered that the Earth was going to die in 100 years, they certainly wouldn't like it, but they would still talk about it and do more research (oh wait, I think I've heard this before....was it called global warming?)

My husband's relatives travel here often from Russia, and they are really nice people for the most part. However, in Russia you are supposed to treat your guests like visiting royalty. Guests should never lift a hand to help out, while here you expect to help out your host ot at least to offer. Some of the girls and women are the worst. You would think that after visiting a month, it might be nice to help out a bit in the kitchen, without being asked, especially when people are getting up early to cook nice food for you.
I feel like some of them are making a conscious choice to try to impose their own cultural ways on me.

I dont understand why it seems as though some took my question as an angry one. it isnt. lemme clear this up and give you some background on me. I am an athiest, my wife is a Wiccan, we have three children and are taking care of my elderly (christian) Grandmother. its an interesting life to say the least.

saying that I believe in something because I believe in nothing is like saying I am white becuase I believe I am not black...I'm going to be white no matter if I think I'm blue or purple...

the question is raised because lately there have been several religeous discussions in the household, and several times Jehovas witnesses at the door etc. no one (save for my wife) understands my lack of belief, those of alternitive religeons tend to understand, or want to understand much more than do those of conventional *read ancient* religions. lack of something does not imply the existance of something to fill its place. there is no void
