Science doesn't need to "prove the purpose of life". For a start, why do you think life has to have a purpose? You talk about being humble, then say you think your life has a grand purpose?! Don't make me laugh.
Likewise we don't need evidence to disprove the existence of God. If God can't be seen, heard, detected in any way whatsoever, then you don't need evidence to disprove it, you need evidence to PROVE it!
As for why are we here and where are we going, science is all about asking those questions, keeping an open mind and drawing conclusions based on evidence. Religion on the other hand is all about not asking questions, having a closed mind, in some cases even murdering other people for having differing opinions, and believing what other people tell you, based on some old book written (by people) hundreds of years ago. Which is not evidence.
We don't need to make any effort at all to discredit such a world-view.

Before my wife died religion to me was something that some believe in and some don't. I never really thought about it, but if push came to shove, I would have probably said I would like to think that there is a God, a heaven etc...
When I was 28 years old my wife died. This affected me big time. I am still on medication nearly 10 years later. As time has passed, if one thing has become absolutely crystal clear to me, I mean so clear I would stake my own life on it. It is that there is no God, no heaven and no hell. When you die, you die and that is it, end of story.
I don't mean to offend any religous people by what I am saying, but just as how religous people can give their opinion, it seems only fair that I should be able to give mine.

Yeah... Like all animals... Survive till you can reproduce and help next generation...
In humans we are a complex herd animal where each helps the herd by contributing in a different way... We term this a job/vocation.
Where are you going after life... you dont, the brain waves switch off so doctors know you are brain dead and all thats left is meat and spare parts.
Beats any relgious fairy story as simple... We are animals like all the rest...
Accept it.
We use brain scanners to prove brain activity is gone.
And any study on humn societies show that they work as a team... theres your proof...

It's called creation 'science', but in order for creation 'science' to be correct 42 different dating techniques would have to be incorrect and useless and millions of very educated Ph.d level scientists must be in on a giant centuries-old conspiracy to discredit Christianity and everything ever learned in the sciences of Geology, Quantum Physics, Radio-Astronomy, Paleantology and Archaelogy must be false. You decide!

Sure, I'll tell you. And then you can help me and we can all sing "Kumbaya" together.
The Purpose of life (for the human species) is to walk, yak on the phone, blog, eat, and reproduce (not necessarily in that order). At least that's what we spend a lot of our waking hours doing.
Now perhaps you can help me by answering a question.
Why did your god create the bones of my arms and legs, wrists and ankles, hands and feet, fingers and toes to have the same structure? Where did he (she? it?) ever come up with the idea to solve both problems of walking and writing with the same bad design, that leaves us prone to sprained ankles and carpal tunnel? Evolution's reason is simple and obvious: our ancestors used their forelimbs and hind limbs for the same purpose, but they were later adapted to other purposes.
Go figure.

Ok, I'm a christian, so let me help you out. Science does not discredit God's existence, even when they try. Scientist are 'truth seekers', and if you know your Bible you know Jesus told us to doubt him and his word and search for the truth. Jesus and God want there to be those who question everything. Why? Because God knows in the end the 'truth seekers' WILL find the truth. God is not 'threatened' in any way by those who try to discredit him. Let them find it their way, you have found your truth your way.

Do you have any proof for there is NO GOD?No.
Do you have proof there IS GOD?No
They what merit in one blaming the other?
As regards purpose of life, there is no purpose for life. The purpose of life for ordinary people enjoyment till death. You have to give meaningful purpose for life. Those who have found purpose for life are great people(Linclon-democracy.Mother Theresa-uplift ment of poor and so many)

Get off your soap box, you silly person and learn some humility, study your 10 commandments and live by them, Proof is not required, only in your tiny bigoted mind, now let people live without the affliction of you and your inane ranting.
