it's like when you pray your talking to yourself and when you go to church all that's there are a bunch of people who claim they believe, but very possibely do not. and it's like He's never there when you need Him the most. or so it seems.

if everything is supposedly predetermined by God from the beginning, what's the point of praying about something that you really want to happen..or like praying for a loved one or your own future? i understand when you pray and praise God for what He is and what He has done, but i just dont understand the point of the other types of things if our lives and events in our lives are predetermined?

and i dont want any atheists answering this with "God isnt real, nothing is predetermined, no point to pray" bc that wont answer my question. ok aweeesome.

In the real world of things, does "evil" exist? Where? What qualifies a phenomenon as "evil?"

please spare us the copying and pasting from wikpedia, bibles, dictionaries, and the like.

I'm hoping for some well premised, well reasoned answers to add to my own ponderings about the matter.

Why are we celebrating him for something he didn't do? It sure isn't because he discovered America. . . . After all, what was one of the first things he found here? PEOPLE!!!! THAT'S WHAT!!! How could he have discovered someplace where the Native Americans had been living for thousands of years before he even exsited?? All were doing is just giving him a pat on the back for trying. . . . someone on this site had the nerve to say that Kwanzaa was a stupid made-up holiday. Let me say this now. . . .
KWANZAA HAS NOTHING ON COLUMBUS DAY!!!
All right i'm done now. . .
By the Way if you have a smart remark for this question, don't bother to answer. . . .Think-Q very much.

I can not believe my "Luck". I lost the ring my bf gave to me this morning and went back home to search. I was almost giving up hope and prayed to god that please let me find my ring, if can find i will really start reading the bible and believe in him. Then a few minutes later i found my ring on my bed which i pretty sure there was nothing on it! I was so surprised and it feel so good to retrieve what u thought is lost.. Thanks GOD! I believe he heard me and helped me to get back my precious ring!
I was planning to start reading bible a few weeks ago, but just didn't find the time; Now i will start it this weekend. I will not break my promise to GOD.
I'm sharing this experiece to u, to all the Christians. Finally i believe in GOD and decide to trust him. I used to be a free-thinker and have never plan to go into any belief until my bf who is Christain came into my life. He told me all about GOD but i just cannot bring myself to thrust trust into GOD. Now my life is blessed! Thanks!

I recently quit my job because my boss wont pay me properly and I mean I am way underpaid. He has a high turnover of staff because of this reason, why not just pay properly and keep good staff instead of having to train someone new all the time. His business is good so he has the money to pay properly but refuses. Is this an asian trait, am I stupid for quitting my job. I am not trying to offend anyone just curious if this is the way their culture is.
