Might have been. There were a carload of us driving around one night (about 35 years ago). We saw strange lights in the sky and pulled over and started playing headlight games with them. When they got so close they were over us we all lost memory of anything until we found ourselves about 20 miles down the road a couple of hours later. None of us have any memory of what happened to us. There were 5 of us. Within a few minutes we saw regular aircraft flying all around in circles in the approximate area where we first saw them. This was near a place called Aerojet in California where the government worked on spacecraft.
