Earlier today I took my girlfriend home, who lives 12 miles up a hollow from civilization in West Virgina, when we got there she noticed that one of the three doors to thier basement was opened, Her house is an old Mining Hotel that has numerous rooms that are dark and dreery, her house is already kind of scary to me. Ok back the story, before I left I walked around the side of the house to shut the door, before I shut it I went inside to check and see if any of thier dogs had went inside, upon finding no dogs I went back to the door to shut it, I found that the door was locked but opened, not thinking any thing of it I just shut the door then pushed on it to make sure it was shut tight. Well about 4 hours later I went to pick up my gf to take her to work and as I came around the bend to her house I saw that the door was opened again. My gf had heard some noises but didn't think anything of it. Would this scare the chit out of you or what and What could it be?

The Bet by Anton Chehkov is a great story that discusses both sides, you should read it and make up your mind if you would choose death quickly, because maybe that is what they want or life so they can replay it over and over in their mind, so it slowly kills them. I chose life in prision so they know a little hint of what they did, how much pain they caused or let the other prisioners beat them to death, painfully and without much feeling for the person they are killing.

I've met too many guys that will say body figure is most important, complement my figure, then constantly try feeding extra fatty foods and say "you can gain 5-10lbs"... what is that? (especially when they turn around and hit on the super skinny girl that just walked by)

I am 23 years old, and since I have been home from graduating college I feel my mother is a pathological liar. She always has to be the "MC" of a dinner or a conversation, and she always tries to one-up people in stories. Just recently she relayed an event that happened to me to my grandparents, in my presence, and she said details had happened, which in fact they have not.

She also would tell many tales about being best friends with Larry Bird in the 1980s when he played for the Celtics, but to this day I have yet to see a picture or an autograph of his.

Talking to my beau last night, he pointed out that I don't look people directly in the eye when having conversations. I believe I do such a thing to refresh my mind of events and to give my perspective flawlessly, without error. He asked me if I had any insecurities, but as born-again Christians... he doesn't and neither do I. He suggested that it might just be shyness or lack of confidence, and then closed the topic at hand.

When I spoke to someone else I figured I'd enable my awareness of the interaction, but I found myself truly struggling to make eye contact. I could really feel this internal struggle just to look that person straight in their face... so now I am worried that it is a real problem.

Is there anybody who can explain my dilemma? I'm looking for a meaningful answer I can use, not one that is too logical and somewhat emotionless... I am a passionate, deeply loving person and I want to relate to the advice. Thank you.

I feel attracted to certain cultures and languages and sometimes I feel I have been in a place I have never been before. Like I actually lived there even though I really haven't. Please share if u really have experienced the same. Please no rude comments,I'm serious.

Ive been hearing a voice in my head lately. She's a fairy named Honeysucke, kind of a sad girl. Do not think i am crazy please, i dont do drugs or anything... I just dream of her sometimes like her past and stuff. Does anybody else do this and if so what characters are in your head? Do you think they are just concentrated points of emotion that we have?

I am reading a book, a boy dreaming God as aan old lady? It came to me surprising, because when i was a little child, i was always thinking he as a he :D Then I asked every single person in the study hall; A half of them answered as "I do not imagine God" and the other said yes. (The reason may be that everbody in the hall were from a patriarchal society). So asking you...

1.Is it he or she?
2.Why he or why she?(external & internal effects)
3.Is it something to do with power or benignity?

I enjoy feeling like I can ask anything, no matter how silly and embarrassing and still get some kind of response. I enjoy all of the different perspectives and I've had many surprises and laughs here.
