hmm good question. I think God is.... both. And neither. He (I'll just say he as it's quicker) is everything rolled up together. god is a 7 year old girl, he is a 50 year old man. He is sort of like a painting.... we are all looking at different bits of the whole iamge and as our relationship with him complicates we see more and more of the painting. But we never see the whole thing. Therefore, we all have our own little image- our own little part of the painting. The bible was of course, written by MEN. For that reason I place little trust in it being the TRUE word of God. I prefer to build my own relationship with him. I believe that the writters of the Bible may have referred to god as a he simply to form a patriarchal society. The women writters, such as Ruth, may have follwed suit because they believed it themselves, because they didn't want to cause arguments etc. I guess we wil lnever really know until we 'go home' if you get my drift. Even then I've heard it can be confusing.

I would imagine more a kind of invisible, blanket-the-universe-and-beyond wind that thinks or otherwise functions on some "invisible" but intellectual/spiritual level.
Because life is made up of both female and male forces I think a God with a gender would be incomplete, and I don't imagine God would be incomplete.
I don't think you can assign human traits/concepts to it, but I don't imagine it to be a "big, evil, powerful" thing as much as an "awe-inspiring and powerful thing".

I'm an atheist but I've always drawn considerable strength and motivation from the notion that if there were a god, the he would be the Christian concept of a completely forgiving father figure. That love is accepting of everything and forgiving of everything you might even disagree with.
Nice image.

The Vedas which came to the Material world at the time of creation say that the Supreme Personality of Godhead (God) is in a Male form and His counterpart Goddess is in the female form. Radha is Her original Name also known as Laksmi, Sita, Hare, etc. And His original name is Krishna, Vishnu, Rama, etc. He has an original form and so does she > Radha and Krishna go to krishnaculture. for pictures and details also krishnaland. for artwork. God is not to imagine He is real and so is She How would you like it if I tried to immagine you. I would definitely be wrong. One can see God but they have to make their eyes qualified. By chanting His Names (Maha Mantra)

1. A he. In my mind.
2. Just how it was written and how I imagine.
3. It really doesn't matter.
Also others wrote the bible through God and then translated, through this process things were left off and changed.
God could be a he or she, but we also consider him to be niether.

The Holy Bible (aka word of God) always refers to God as He or Him and Jesus as the Son of Man...dont see "woman" or "lady" in there anywhere.

I think of God as being a Man also. Maybe it is because Jesus is the son of God.

God is the embodiment of everything, therefore God is both father and mother.
