there is no reality... only perception,

I think it is the other way around too. Because of our biases, it can be impossible to see things for what they really are. For example, I read when people kiss, they exchange pheromones with each other, which changes the people's perceptions of each other, and only see what turns them on- and not the bad stuff that everyone else sees from the outside looking in.
As far as reality infering with perception, I'm not so sure about that.

It is entirely possible for a person's perceptions and reality to completely match.

Realistic perceptions come more easily for some people than for others.

Reality is that which exists outside of our perception. They both can vary; check theory of relativity and quantum observations. But they both vary from a mean and perception is the one with the abnormal curve. For instances; your perception of " green " may not quite be my perception of " green ". But, if someones perception of " green " is, say, " beef gravy ", then you know that is one skewed perception. There can be many answers to the perception question; there can not be just any old answer, though.

PS Phatom, the theory of relativity is about the relative observation of motion, not about the perception of reality.

Reality exists, as in a President being shot or a hurricane flooding a coastal city. Perception shapes our attitudes, remembrances and understanding of it.

This is why propagandists work very hard to establish a 'perception' to color real events. No matter the reality, they want to shape your attitude about it for their convenience.

Our perceptions help determine what we call reality. Perception influences how we understand reality.

NOYour perception interferes with reality. This world is called Maya(illusion) it is temporary and full of misery. We are not these bodies, Race color, nationality, religion, senses, intellect, job, etc. we are eternal spirit soul, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul. also known as Krishna, Allah, Vishnu, Jehovah, etc. We have to reconnect to see things as they are in reality. the quickest and easiest way to get out of illusion and misery is to chant the Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from suffering and illusion) go to krishnaculture. for details. Choose Reality commit yourself to believing in what is real and that you will forego any current beliefs you have when you find out that what you are believing is not real. The Church of Reality is all about reality, real reality, the way it really is.

Reality is how each person perceives it.
Einstein proved this in his example of a train and a man carrying a lamp on the train as viewed both on the train and from a point far from the train.
