Law like "Violence Against Women Act" is very bias and sexist. It basically say that women is the only victim of violent. What can we do to get rid of such law?

For the sake of equality. Law like that should be eliminated IMO

what the hell are you doing reading this?

It's New Years eve, for god's sake.

Yah. I know. Holidays mean nothing to me, either. Hate 'em, in fact.

Doesn't mean I haven't come to like a lot of you. Even though the only way I know you is through two numbers chopped up and reconstructed as communication in a ghastly global village that would have McLuhan spinning so fast that Gore Vidal wouldn't be able to bugger him unless he jumped out of a washer on spin-dry and timed it just right.

SO, to whomever did read this. I offer my heartfelt hope that you salvage as much happiness as is humanely possible from a creepy, scary, depressing world, that still has some magic in it. I don't want the fact that I've made a career out of looking in the wrong places a deterrent to your efforts. Honest.

Maybe that's why I try to make people laugh at it. Whatever. Meant what I said.

All the best. To all of you.

Best I can do. I know it's not much.

there is a guy at work who is a control freak, unfortunately he isn't a subordinate but he isn't my superior either, we are at the same level, problem is he doesn't just do HIS job, he is always trying to tell me how he thinks i ought to do mine and he frequently interferes with my work by telling people to do things that are contrary to what i have asked them to do or he will physically come in and rearrange things or cancel orders i have made or make changes to them. nothing that he does is actually helpful, it sometimes will work either way (his or mine) but by him doing this is causes confusion among the workers and mistakes are made because of it. my boss knows about this and is too timid to do anything about it (he is the owner but he is still too timid to reprimand the guy) i feel that if i am blunt with this problem person and outright tell him to stay out of my business he will become a dire enemy, how can i diplomatically handle this situation? im about ready to just quit.

I have read somewhere that our confidence is deeply hidden in our unconsciousness. So, if a person wishes to improve self-confidence how are they going to reach the unconsciousness?

I have heard it is important to repeat things over and over again like 'I can do it.' Is that the best way?

How do you work on your confidence?

im 14 and i've had low self esteem ever since i could remember. I never feel pretty (at all) or smart enough. I dont know what to do anymore. I guess its because my dad yells at me constantly even for the smallest things and that really brings me down. My mom was never the type to say "i love you" (my whole family as a matter of fact) i mean i know they love me but...they would never say anything like that. Im constantly stressed out because of homework and school. im in advanced classes. (even though im horrible at math). My parents always need me to translate something or go somewhere with them to translate. They expect me to always get 100's in school and i try my best but i just dont seem to be good enough. i always feel like crying if i get a bad grade (mostly in math) and feel like im a failure. I never feel confident enough to talk to new people and always worry about what people think of me. i just feel their thinking about how ugly i am or something.

Nothing is enough. Money, sex, social stature, there is always someone else who has more and everyone else expect from you to try harder for even more.

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY.

I dreamed last night that my boyfriend of 2 years left me for a woman who is 21 and has cancer. I find that really odd. For two years we've had a great relationship, only silly fights, and the night before was great. So, I dont understand this dream. Any suggestions?

During the day a lot of the time I feel like I'm on autopilot. I can be talking to someone, doing an activity, working then all of a sudden it's like I wake up. I really don't even remeber much of what I said or did. Happens all the time. To people I act fine, they see no change in me. But I feel it, sometimes I think im just crazy or something. Any idea what this could be?

I'm 21 and have notice that people in their 30's seem to be very "childish" at times (NOT ALL OF COURSE!) but there seems to be this "mid-life crisis" thing I see happening to people when they hit their 30's or are in their mid 30's. This is when I hear-most people start to cheat and do all that stuff in when their in their 30's or late 20's.

Why is this? does this have to do with a natural humen thing or a CULTURAL thing? I think that the society we has made has created a lot of un-rest and unsatisfaction in people. And it seems to effect people more when their in their late 20's and 30's.

Is this true? I really don't envy it actually, seems kinda sad. . .
