I'm 21 and have notice that people in their 30's seem to be very "childish" at times (NOT ALL OF COURSE!) but there seems to be this "mid-life crisis" thing I see happening to people when they hit their 30's or are in their mid 30's. This is when I hear-most people start to cheat and do all that stuff in when their in their 30's or late 20's.

Why is this? does this have to do with a natural humen thing or a CULTURAL thing? I think that the society we has made has created a lot of un-rest and unsatisfaction in people. And it seems to effect people more when their in their late 20's and 30's.

Is this true? I really don't envy it actually, seems kinda sad. . .

Its something that u have to experience...I know for some reason I started to look at life differently...But remember this question when u reach that point in life. U seem to look down on it but its no different then 30 yrolds and up looking down on u 21 yrolds and younger like "when will u learn...I"ts not fair to judge ppl at these stages as sad because u have become that also.

I think at around that age, most people get more mature, realistic and begin to discover the true or real net worth of the value system imbibed in to them as children and youths and begin to realize it's inadequacy visa vis their desires and longings or missed opportunities.Of course,it has to have a social back ground in what ever manner it affects them. So,the combined effect gives rise to the phenomenon you have mentioned. It's peculiar to some societies and not to all.

Its not mid life crisis when people cheat in their 30's, or in the late 20's. Mid life crisis usually happens in their 50's and 60's. That's when you see the Grey haired guys driving around in convertibles with their girlfriends or women dress like their 20 and try to act like it. People cheat at all different ages. To me, it doesn't seem like age is even a factor anymore. It's almost natural to them. Parents need to raise their kids and teach them values and maybe it wouldn't happen so much. I know, I try to teach my kids that cheating is bad. ALL forms of cheating. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that things get better.!!

It's not all people in their 30's. I'm 33 and don't act immature or anything but it also depends on the type of life they lead.

I suppose, some people when they hit the big 30 can start to feel old and want to recapture what they once had but it's also like that with people in their 20's. At least as far as the cheating goes. I doubt if that will ever have an age limit.

From what I've read it really is a cultural thing. Unless one is required to become responsible for oneself there won't be the growth required. Too much time to many distractions. Earlier generations were required to 'grow-up' quickly due to the physical demands of simply staying alive. Today and for the last 40 years, life has been getting easier, at least in the high tech world, and this seems to leave too much room to maintain an adolescent inertia even into one's 50s. As I recall, 'mid life crisis' is a relatively recent development. Maturity comes from self-control, understanding that there is an objective reality and how it works and contemplation.
