Why is it easier for an older, less attractive man to get a job based on his experience / qualifications, than an older, less attractive female with the same experience? I have female friends in their 50s who are contemplating plastic surgery to remain viable in the job market.

What are your thoughts?

We dated for a month before she broke up with me about 4 months ago. She said she wasn’t ready for an emotional relationship and she wanted us to be just friends. I was attached to her and I really couldn’t see myself being her friend and watch her go out with other guys, it was going to be too painful for me because I loved her, so I decided to cut off contact with her so that I can get over her. It has now been 2 months since we last spoke or saw each other and I miss her, clearly time didn’t make me get over her because I still love her and I feel this urge to talk to her again to find out how she's doing, but i think she'll be angry with me for ignoring her.

What should I do? Should I call her and ask her how she is, how she feels and how she’s doing or shouldn’t I?

I called a girl at work a dumb cow and she said it was a sexist comment. Obviously, it was inappropriate to say but they are investigating to see if this should be handled as a sexist remark which carries heavier pentalties (possibly including getting fired).

I'm a man with a fairly bad temper. I tend to have no in-between. I am either well, or furious. My temper is so bad, I tend to seclude myself when I am angry to avoid violence.

Yet, even I can't comprehend why a man would abuse his wife. In my fervant opinion, any man that abuses his wife or children is a coward. He does so, because he knows he can't bully men. He feels empowered abusing the weaker.

I know not all do. I would think these would be excellent fields for women. Great pay, good working conditions, etc. But according to what I have heard they avoid them. Why?
