My husband and I were discussing this and we could not come up with a single woman to include on a "top 100" list. I think this is partly because of the discrimination women faced throughought American History, but I don't know if this is the whole answer.

We considered people like Gloria Steinheim and Susan B. Anthony, but they didn't make the cut. We also looked at women such as Abigail Adams and Martha Washington, but their contributions were in support roles.

The top 100 list would probably feature people in Politics (heavy emphasis on Presidents), business, science, and inventions. "Lifestyle" personalities such as actors and athletes probably wouldn't make the list unless they crossed real barriers.

This is something we've been tossing around for a few days and I thought I'd open it up to the Yahoo! Answers community.

What is more masculine than providing for the woman carrying your seed? Seeing your child grow in the woman you love. Nourishing the woman as she nourishes the child. Giving your body to the needs of the woman as she has given her body to the needs of the child.

What is more honourable than raising your own seed? A product of the love between a man and his woman. A child that admires you and seeks your faternal love and direction.

What is a greater demonstration of will and strength than providing for your family, year in and year out? Working despite fatigue and discouragement. Nowing that the sweat of your hands and the pains in your muscle have put shelter over your family, and food in their stomachs.

What gives greater pride to a man than faithfulness to his wife? Knowing she is your garden and sacred hideaway. Knowing you are the only man worthy in her eyes to enter into her gates of paradise.

Why do so many men resent and not enjoy their masculine duties?

Look at the women's studies questions. most of the questionsa re about sex and men. Why are women obsessed with these 2 topics?

ANd why do women criticize guys that are equally obsessed with sex and women?

Are there any social issues, political issues, or psychological issues, that have nothing to do with blaming men for womens's problems in existence that can be discussed?

I need to be visually turned on by. Of course it is so much better when you have the emotions to go with it. But when ask simialar questions, people think that women are much better off if they have a guy that treats thme well and they are not sexually attracted to them. I find this disturbing, for one reason is because I think that people are ready to judge someone because they focus on their looks and assume that that is all there is to that person which I think is a shallow judgement. Second of all, how can you actually enjoy sex with someone who doesn't look good to you?

If a woman says she loves a man..... is this reason to trust that she is speaking the truth? And if the same woman has lied to him before about other things..... and he is financially supporting her now..... how can a man begin to trust such a woman?

My wife works a tremendous number of hours and then comes home and works on projects. That makes me tired just thinking of it. When I come home, I want to do as little as possible. Are women naturally harder workers than men?

I am a woman. And I noticed that men seem to be in charge, but it's really women who are running things behind the scenes. I feel that women don't necessarily want equal rights, they want more rights. They want to be Lois Lane and Superman at the same time! What do you think?
