There is no such thing as feminicide but there is something called *femicide.*

Femicide is defined as: the killing of a female; one who kills a female.

Some cultures commit this crime in mass numbers around the world. Diana E.H. Russell, PhD, coined the term "femicide" from genocide. Her web site is: http://www.dianarussell.com if you would like to know more about her research.

Go online and look up "Honour Killings"
You will find a number of articles on BBC and other news sites.
Also, look up the term on http://www.wikipedia.org
Essentially, family members kill the women in their family if they have disgraced them (unapproved marriages, deciding to attend college, married into another culture, had pre-marital sex). Women are also killed if men in the family commit a disgrace upon the family.
Of course, the term feminicide can also refer to Asian cultures and their distaste for female babies. In China women may only have a certain number of children (2 I believe) and boys are more valuable. So, if a female child is born it is often instantly killed by the family. Horrible indeed.

It would appear to be - when a family member is tortured till they confess to the murder of a family member, that they didn't commit.
As i the case reported on the attached site.
