I cannot see how abortion can be seen as morally acceptable from a logical perspective. Where would we be if Edison, Einstein, Newton and Pascal were aborted?

Question: If a human fetus is not considered human because it cannot live independently from its parent, and therefore is not murder to kill it, what's to stop anyone else from making the decision to abort a fetus (husband, boyfriend, doctor, government, some dude on the street, etc), since it is not classified as human?

Is abortion a case of creating a law to remove guilt over removing unwanted children by murder?

Please tell your story. I was just thinking of the baboons in the biology dept. at the university I attended. I remember I ran an errand from one dept. to where the baboons were kept. I entered a basement and on the floor a yellow line was painted. Before I saw the cages a primate charged the cage. His fangs were like tusks! He moved so quickly! he wanted to kill me. ( i am sure he was miserable in his cage). I just stood there me behind the yellow line and him looking in my eyes.He was furios! All I can say is if I ever go on a safari it won't be the lions I am afraid of.

If it becomes a human being at conception, then isn't abortion murder? If it becomes human at birth, then why are late abortions illegal (why not abort at 9 months)? If they are not human beings until they show signs of intelligence, then can we abort teenagers?

I have a paper due for an archeological field school class I took. I took it the first year and then was asked to be an assistant and we turned it into an honors special project so I have to write this paper. It is a colonial parsonage site on a battlefield in NJ and I have no clue where to begin. I am drawing a complete blank. This has never happened with any other paper. This years dig turned up little, how do I fill 18 pages? I can not think of a thesis statement that I could build 18 pages around. Anyone have any suggestions?
