I can do this as well (though only to the left). As a child I could do it both directions, but then gradually lost this amazing ability to the right, because it was more tricky to do.

It's genetic, you can either do it (like me) or you can't. Some can also do a clover leaf (like me)

And Crystal, if she had no muscle, her tongue would lie there like a lump of sausage in her mouth. The tongue is one big fluid filled muscle.

all three of my kids can do it.
they started by rolling their tongues. they kept practicing it over the years and now they all have it down to perfection.

It's the little ligament thing under the tongue isn't there I can do it too. lol
