It sounds like you are confusing "emotion" with "motivation."
The strongest Emotion is Love. It is the only one that does not fade with time. It is not to be confused with Romance, which does fade.
Sex is a motivation based upon physical arousal and the emotion of lust. Sex is a motivation but not an emotion. Love is stronger than sex.
Importance is a product of self esteem. It is not an emotion, but can be a motivation. Low self esteem can also cause a lack of motivation. It is difficult to love or be loved without a sense of importance or self worth.
Not every human experiences true Love. Those that do will all agree that it is the strongest emotion.

The most powerful emotion in terms of motivating us is probably fear. This is based on research, but I am not a cynic and do believe that love can be stronger than fear.
Love, however, is not simply an emotion. Love is a commitment and an action, not just a feeling.

Well, sex isn't an emotion...it's a 'drive', so it's out. The strongest emotions are love, fear and rage, which, if not clarified, have the same degree of total lack of logic.

Longing for food is probably the holiest and strongest of all. Donot know whether it falls among emotions, but sometimes feel that food related matters make man more emotional than any other issue.

None of those things are emotions...... But the sexual drive of our wonderous species seems to fit right in... what about eating and food and shelter after the aforementioned ... I think the strongest is to survive as a species , so I vote for the sex drive to get us through the next millenium... peace

Care and concern is the primary ingridients for being able to respect and understand each and other in total value . It is the combination of the above values that will mature into love which will derive the truth and sincerity towards each other needs , both physically and mentally. Therefore, without the above combinations, sex is just taboo.

Love is the strongest emotion. With love you experience highs and lows especially when it is taken away from you.

For me it's got to be SEX...
Sex makes you feel loved and very important, (when done properly, anyway), also cared for, and you can feel dis-respected when you don't get it (from a wife anyway) And it most definately helps two people spend more time together, and when that happens you have plenty of oppurtunities to learn about eachother and to understand one another....so thats all !!!
