Well, most revolutionaries are self-centered, short-sighted fools that are easily offended. Therefore, any short-term minor hardship that is produced either by the government or by circumstance, or some politically incorrect thing such as a foreign war or a derogatory picture of mohammed or the criminal conviction of a black man that is guilty, rouses the rabble into riots, who naturally blame the government. Revolution is usually done either for self-centered reasons or evil fanatical reasons (e.g. communism), but probably never so far has it occurred out of any good principle. Even in the american revolution, the colonists revolted because the british were collecting taxes to pay off the debt for a war which saved all of the colonists from the french and indians not long before.

You just inaugurated a new precipitator of revolution: a question that doesn't ask anything. The answer has to be revolutionary. It can says whatever it wants.
Let me venture something: a precipitator of a revolution is usually a scapegoat. Scapegoats are recruited from the despised section of society in a given moment of history. For instance, right now in Bible Belt US, any action against or pro Mexicans could be a precipitator of a revolution, because right now they are the scpegoats over there, even more so than Arabs or Muslims.

Do you hear the people sing
singing the song of angry men.
It is the music of a people
who would not be slaves again.
When the beating of your heart
echoes the beating of the drums.
There is a life about to start
when tomorrow comes.

Well, you're not giving us much of a choice here. But one of the precipitators is social oppression.
