Social Science - 4 June 2007

I ask this because in another answer I said I was not a feminist because I was not a militant or either had a degree in Women's Studies. But this answer was bothering me, and I ask myself why.

The first book on feminism I had "The Second Sex" by Simone de Beauvoire, made a lot of sense to me when I was a teenager. Since then I read many books, and most of them have made a lot of sense.
I teach my students (girls) to value themselves and believe in what they are and I have had to deal with nasty power games from males in my profession.

I believe in feminism as a humanitarian social tool. I believe that it fights for a better world for ALL of us.

My question then is, if I am interested in politics, this doesn't make me a politician. So how this relates to being a feminist?

Perhaps I have been all this time one and I am just intellectualizing the semantic aspect?

Why should criminals be given a pat on the back as being "in"? How does this rehabilitate. In fact, I believe the
opposite is given a major opportunity to occur (work with your
jail peers to make the world behave like and accept your
negative behavior). What's with that?

ok so heres the dream: i am at my grandmothers house. her and i were very close before she passed. anyhow, i am at her house, and there is a apartment above the garage there. i am in the apartment. its dusk and i am pretty scared to be there by myself though i used to live there. anyhow, suddely i had the feeling that my family was trying to kill me and i had to try and get out of the apartment. the vents and under doors and windows were filling with a cloud of gas. while the gas was filling the apartment i coved my noes and face and waited for them to leave, trying hard not to breathe. when they left i somehow managed to get out of the house and down the stairs to the drive way. i was suddely a little girl and the drive was was now coverd in long thick grass that was green. i was barefoot and the grass was coverd in large electric colored sleeping snakes. i tiptoed through them and made it to the end of the drive way, at the end i turned into a adult & walked away.

What do yall think is the best age to be at, talking fun and just overall enjoyment, if your to young thers alot of things you cant do, but if your to old, you have to many responsiblities and not enough time

I was with friends and they were disappearing. Then I saw a pack of wolves coming towards me. I told my friends to run but they weren't there any more I tried to get a way but then I fell down the hill. When I got up I suppose the leader of the pack attacked me. Ripped my stomach and clawed me. Then he stopped and told me something I don't remember what it said. I was left there to die as I thought he was going to attack me again but then I woke up sweating. I had a dream that I was washing my bones in a bathtub! I was holding them and rinsing them all off, they were separate from me, makes no sense I know, but somehow I just walked to this place and picked them up and carried them to the bathtub. It wasn't scary at all, in fact it was something I knew I needed to do. While washing them I noticed a small area on one of my leg bones, it looked like a small square patch of some kind. I peeled it off and it had the color and texture of dried nail polish. I peeled it off from the leg bone and noticed underneath the bone was a little bit stained. In real life I had a bone graft surgery done on my leg when I was a kid, and I think the patch in the dream was in the area of the graft. What do bones symbolize in dreams? And what does the patch mean?

last night i had a dream that i had just got plastic surgery done to my face. i hadnt gotten the choice it just happened and i was really mad. then after i liked it. i am really confused. what does it mean?

I am driving down the road... and then suddenly the roads turn surreal..... the road turns uphill (way uphill).... < like at a 90 degree angle.... and I keep on going and going up in my explorer..... sometimes I reach my destination, but other times... I wake up before I do..... last dream like this I had... I ended up in a Mountain... I was with someone but I cant remember who he/she was..... what do the surreal road means?
