"Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours."

Chrissy: I thought I'd start out by telling her I demand sex atleast once a day, twice on weekends. And if she has a problem with that, she can pay the check and walk her lazy, feminist backside home. What do think?

Will I get some?

maybe for you. maybe you should move to Stepford?

if we used that in my house, we would never communicate.

and if you tried demanding sex, you would be the one walking your troll butt back under your bridge.

It's slightly humorous after reading some of the replies, women have come a long way and so have men...the women who posted the majority of the answers are a product of this age(no offense intended)..everyone is saying that was then and this is now,

but it's kinda of hysterical that even 500years ago those people of those times thought they were modern.

i believe women deserve there Rights not because am sympathetic towards that but because they will be the mothers of the next generation, that alone needs contemplation...men must attempt to acquire the forgotten concept of how a man should behave.

Oh boy I bet you get quite a row for posting this one! What fun ;)

This article was produced in a time when a housewife expected to be completely financially dependent upon her husband for her whole life. In this context, it is not only her *job* to do most of the things that are described in the article, but also pretty wise as well. If you are making your living off the production of a man's body and mind, you have better be taking care of it. And in a time when women had little opportunity to throw in the towel and find another life, it just plain makes sense to be agreeable.

In a more updated setting, I have never found that being a source of stress and anxiety improves my relationship with my mate, but I do find that treating my mate well causes him to want to treat me well, and spend more time hanging out with me. I also find that being lovely gets more positive attention than the couple minutes it takes to get lovely.

It would be awfully nice if, in this 2 worker household world, husbands now also realized that it is also wise to keep up the spirits and physical wellbeing of the wife who is now often a full economic partner, and has another job besides tending the wage earner. It is extremely annoying to hurry up a super that you have half prepared the night before, while half preparing tomorrow's, answer homework questions *and* listen to your husband chew out the news caster on the TV in the other room, while you also are tired, hungry, and want to steal his beer, and his recliner! lol

A wife is only as good as her husband. If he is not willing to listen to her, allow her to talk first, and remember topics of conversations, then he isn't a good husband. If a man wants a good wife, he needs to treat her as he would like to be treated. Thank you and may GOD bless.

That may have been true in 1954, where women had little to talk about, but it means nothing today. If you want a wife like this, find one whose voice box and brain have been removed.
