Yeah Beefy. I'm in the process of writing a poem about a painful childhood experience of getting trapped in a hole. I need some words that help make creative imagery.

The short-run elasticity of demand for residential electricity with respect to a change in the price of a natural gas is estimated to be 0. The long-run elasticity is put at 0.5. Based on these numbers, are electricity and natural gas subsititutes, complements, or independent in the long run? What about the short run? Why is the relationship between these two goods different in the short-run than in the long-run?

An elected representative spoke out against increasing the tax on oil producers, arguing that any higher tax "will end up on the backs of consumers. You can't sock it to the big oil companies.. they'll just pass (all of it) along to the consumers." What was the representative implying about the price elasticity of demand for oil? Does avaliable evidence support his claim? If the representative were correct and if a new tax were imposed, how much less oil would be demanded?

Things are really tough right now. It's just i've been going through something really difficult at home. My grades at school are bad enough as it is, there ten times worse now. But thats also one of the last things on my mind. It's so much easier to go out and not be stuck alone with my thoughts and feelings. I'm so torn with how im supposed to be feeling. I hate crying, but i can do it on command. I feel like i should just stay home and cry for 24 hours just get it all out. but i know thats not gonna solve anything so i swallow that lump in my throat and go through each day avoiding home and being alone. I'm not suicidal! i love life. I love having fun. it's just these thoughts are taking over my brain. and i can't express them to anyone because i can't find the words. and i hate feeling vulnerable. my head just hurts. it just feels like too much sometimes.

are there any other ways besides talking, writing, and painting. that i can vent and someone how get a clear head again?

In some western countries children as young as 7 are regularly given major neuroleptic drugs to "modify" their behaviour and mood. I consider this to be non consentual, invasive and shows an abysmal ignorance about the way we are and develop.
This occurs more in countries that have the most psychiatrists.
Could this be a case of someone inventing a problem which can only be fixed by them?

For the last 6 months or so, an older lady sits in her car in front of either my house or my neighbors. She sits all day. Her car is full of 'stuff,' and I mean, full. She reads, knits & sleeps. My neighbor was bothered so I went out & spoke w/the woman. I asked her if she was homeless. She gave me her address, which is not too far from here & said she just likes the neighborhood. She is here nearly every day & watches everything that goes on. I feel like I'm being watched. My neighbor called the police twice, but there was nothing they would do. Seriously, it's been 6 mos. or so & it's really starting to bother me! What do you think?

I have this obsession on looking at emails, and myspace and just chatting to people on msn. I know it is really bad but it seems to be an obsession and has been like this for some time. It's mainly out of boredom but at the same time I wish I could think of more useful things to fill up my spare time. I sometimes spend hours and hours practically looking at these things without actually doing much. I just can't seem to stop though

Mine is when somebody "grunts" at you like a HOG, to show they don't like you!
