The recent thread about divorcing your wife on Valentines day got a few angry responses, eg. "what a complete and insensitive jack@$#!", umm:

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY -- LET'S GET DIVORCED!!
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/070205/clmfns1.html?.v=6

It seems Valentine's Day may be a dual holiday for lovers and leavers... New York City Divorce Attorney Sherri Donovan, in her new book HIT HIM WHERE IT HURTS: The Take-No-Prisoners Guide to Divorce - Alimony, Custody, Child Support, and More offers advice for women in their moment of realization -- that on this day of romance they have none...and their decision to jump ship. "You may simply decide that you can't face another Valentine's Day living a lie," Donovan says.

It's a press release for:

Why does this only count one way for feminists?

'The central feminist tenet that the personal is political is profoundly threatening to young women who don't want to be called to account. It is far easier to rest in silence, as if silence were neutrality, and as if neutrality were safety. Neither wholly cynical nor wholly apathetic, women who fear feminism fear living in its consequences…. Women fear taking a public stand, entering public discourse, demanding and perhaps getting
attention. And for what? To be called a "feminazi"? To be denounced as traitors to women's "essential nature"?

HAPPY BULLET (ET AL) I AM ASKING THE GROWN-UPS HERE SO GO PLAY 'CHICKEN' ELSEWHERE.

It's really sad that I need to insert that (above) but these guys are angry and feeling threatened....are younger women really afraid to offend such rabid dogs as this?

Hey,I'm doing a bit of research for my school essay,I'm trying to narrow down the likes and dislikes of women.

I have seen that alot of similarities in whats considered hot and whats not depending on the country, age & religion.

For example young teenagers like the boyish look but in some countries like Britain,Spain women in their 20's find it attractive aswell.

The macho look is pretty popular among more mature women and seems to be popular in countries like USA and Australia.

Is their any reasons for this?

Suppose that you lend $1000 to a friend who pays you bace $1100 the next year. Suppose that prices that year rose by 8% and the real rate of return in the stock market was 4%. You friend says that he or she was being more than fair by giving you more than the rate of inflation as a return. Do you agree or disagree with him/her and explain why.

I am scrapbooking for the first time. My first project is compiling albums about each of my 4 grown children. They all went through years when they were down right fat and some had severe acne. I know how it feels to see yourself and be embarrassed all over again. After seeing some horrible pictures of myself, I'm definitely on a diet. I'm the one doing the compiling so I can eliminate my terrible pictures. Should I eliminate theirs or is it important to keep them in so they don't think I was ashamed of them. I want the albums to be something they really enjoy seeing and not moan when they see me dragging them out.

Some phobias actually make sense, like the fear of heights, because falling would actually hurt you. But I know that most spiders cannnot hurt humans, yet they terrify me... they are so creepy, I just can't describe why. I am not afraid of other animals, including bugs, snakes, and rodents, or even those that really would hurt me. Why such a common fear in people?

I have this guy friend, he used to be outgoing, funny, and happy around me. After a few months we started liking eachother. Ever since then he doesn't act the same anymore. I think his true self is coming out. Now he is withdrawn, quiet, and depressed(he has depression)

How can i deal with the fact that the guy i fell for, is not the man i thought he was? I'm afraid we are not compatible anymore, i worry about this everyday.
