What do I advice people who are sometimes 'thinks too much' and could also be mistaken as 'emotionless'? He had a childhood trauma of being 'emotional' once but was shut out by his own father. He's a nice person in general but his pessimism and over-analysis makes me think he's a 'robot' already. His ways are sure and right. But I would like him to 'feel' for once and not 'think'. What could I do or advice him?

At 20 years old you are expected to be on your own in college, or out in the real world. Your an adult, you should have a job and be furthering your education. At merely 16 you can go to prison for life. You can drive and have the lives of others depend on how well you drive. But if you are 20 and have a child you fall into the catagory of "children having children". You are too irresponsible, and so on. But dont we decide the fate of others every time we get behind the wheel, which most have done at an age as young as 16.

I have to decide on a pension payment plan from a former employer to begin this year. I am 55. The choices are as follows.

1. $727 per month for life.
OR
2. $1287 per month for the first seven years, then $358 per month for life.

I know inflation rate and life expectancy (both unknown) are the factors deciding this. Does anyone know of any web sites dealing with making these kinds of decisions?

For me it's black and white photos of Dominican nuns - especially shots in which they're smoking, horsing around etc. I have no idea why but it just tickles me.
That, and people falling over...

i know everyone is different.... i am just wondering what their mind works like and what they think. like you know, as a 15 year old girl, i want to discover myself and care about how i appear to people, think about the mysteries of life, etc.... but what does an 18 year old boy think about generally? (and i know what the answer is gonna be from most, but other than that)

Where do we go when we just don't know?
How do we relight the flame when it's cold?
Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing?
When will we learn to obey?

Serious question. I believe I do. And I suspect some people envy me because of it. Is it possible? I believe I'm the kind of person the government fears because I question a little too much for them to be comfortable. Single/Male/33

This may sound funny, but being a private person, I've though of keeping my conciousness to myself by putting lead sheets inbetween the walls of my home to prevent anykind of waves to reach me. That way when I'm alone in my room, I'm REALLY alone in my room.

Note: I don't like to BS, or talk BS. I'm usualy easy to reach. I don't read minds, I admit I am blind to some things. And I don't know everything that's going on around me all of the time. I have random thoughts like these all the time.

I'm going through that phase of asking different questions about life. My best friend was murdered a few months ago and thats pretty much what started this flow of questioning. I mentioned it to my doctor, and he said something to the effect that only about 3% of people take the time, go through, and question what I am now. Have any of you gone through this? Of course I'm aware that theres no specific amount of time that this is going to last....I'm really just wanting a ballpark idea of how long. Any thoughts?..experiences?..ect.
Thanks for your help!!
