If your hold on to anger it only hurts your mind and body- can cause diseases and pain within the body.- Let it go, give it up, forget it, don't think of it, forgive the person whether they are right or wrong. It is just the other persons perception of things but don't let anyone rent space in your head, it only hurts you. Read The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz that will help you let go of all anger and inner suffering. Also read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada with tells the root of all anger and how to overcome it.

Anger is an afflicting emotion and acts on the body like poison. It is good to remove yourself until you can be controlled and reasonable, when at last, you make your position known. Some people yell into a closet or out of doors to let the "steam" out. Others tear up paper or punch a bag. Unaddressed anger becomes resentment which grows until it bursts out in unrelated situations. So, holding anger in too long makes you a volatile and insidious carrier of dis-ease that can infect everyone around you.

It will make you sick eventually.
Try to put the negative enrgy to good use.
Go to a gym, buy a puching bag. I bought a stuffef toy, that I kick around the room. Sometimes I go for a swim.
If Im in a situation where I feel uncomfortable, I take a deep breath, and imagine im on a beach somewhere.
Good luck

Eventually it will take a negative toll on your health.
Like most "Good Girls" I used to be very afraid of speaking out or speaking up. I let people walk over me for many years.
I got sick and was given only 5 years to live.(5 YEARS AND COUNTING...)
I have had to really work to regain my health. Part of the healing was to learn OK ways to express all my feelings, including anger.
Good luck, Sweetie!

If it's too long to hide the anger, will expose like a volcano one day. A person's toleration is limited to a certain extent only.

I think if you don't express your emotions right away and you keep it in, it feel hurt in the long run. Anger becomes stressful and it eats you up from the inside. So LET IT GO.

I scream my head off in the shower and in my car.You don't want to hold anger in.If someone is pissing you off think like this: Will I be angry about this/them/whatever 2 years from now? This way you can see if its even worth getting upset about. Chill girl! Easy does it!

i dont like it, but i have to deal with that... its been 4 years since i last time i lost my temper ... i destroys you from the inside out... first it makes you irratable, then you start getting depressed and lonely all the time... after that you get violent and freinds (which ever ones that actually decide to stay around) start getting farther and farther away from you until you dont see them anymore, then everything else gets worse and worse until you turn into a pessamistic annoyance to everyone you know... and then you turn into me!...
