Well right now i'm doing a project on what motivates me and i was just wondering what motivated you guys

This is a tough question but a good one.I am gonna star it. I really believe it comes from a connection with the divine.I am not a Jesus freak or anything but motivation seems to come and go for no apparant reason.I think that I,myself make the decision to do something.But really, if I didn't have deadlines and certain other pressures, I don't know if I would be motivated.Motivation also comes from an inner decision to do something.My question is-Who makes the decision, me or something higher than me? EEeeeK.

Motivation... I'm all for positive reinforcement. Some sort of carrot on a string, you know. Cash reward, new game, new this, new that. But there's also motivation in school and such. That comes from within. I want to be able to live a comfortable life in the future, not worrying about the bills, having a job that interests me. Getting that is what motivates me beyond the carrot. ;p

Nothing in this material world motivated me. Then I found The Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada which tells the purpose and meaning of human life. I was then even motivated by doing the dishes after that book. I love the process of Bhakti Yoga (doing all our activities as a service of love and devotion to God- also known as Krishna, Jehovah, Allah, Vishnu, etc.) It made everything worth wile. want to know more- go to harekrishnatemple.c now I am motivated in life.

I am motivated by the desire to be the best so I have this inner drive to compete with any thing. Probably not a good thing. p:
