People tell me I am black and white, all or nothing. Sometimes I'm extremely feminine, sometimes masculine. Sometimes very happy, sometimes very depressed. Sometimes extremely social, other times completely withdrawn. What's your opinion on this?

I know a person who gets defensive all the time, no matter what I say or how nicely I try to re-word a sentence. Since defensiveness is completely unnecessary (because I don't mean to offend), I can't get to first base with this person. This person puts up an emotional wall and takes offense no matter what I say. I'm so frustrated. Don't tell me to avoid this person, because that's just not possible in my situation. Help me understand the psychology behind it.

This may sound like an odd question from a woman. Why do feminsts claim they don't need men, but 98% of all the tools they use daily and will use were and are invented by men? These inventions inlcude anything from bras, to makeup, (Max Factor) to computers, to cars, to just about anything.

My point is, if feminists claim to simply want respect, why not lead by example and show respect first? Isn't it true that women's lives have been made as much easier through the contributions of men as much as feminism itself?

I don't mean to sound like a traitor, but if women are going to deny truth, then are they liberated or encaged in lies?

I want to know if someone throughout their childhood felt like their parents were basically doing the thing mother and fathers (feed , cloth, school) but not really wanting the child to be there. Could this lead to the child as an adult to be very selfish and defensive???
