A helicopter is flying horizontally at 8.1 m/s and an altitude of 17 m when a package of emergency medical supplies is ejected horizontally backward with a speed of 10 m/s relative to the helicopter. Ignoring air resistance, what is the horizontal distance between the package and the helicopter when the package hits the ground?

mach 2, what will the missile's top speed be?

I suspect the missile will still only be able to top out at mach 2 due to dynamic forces.

Maybe the case is different with a ballistic projectile?

If we know the mathematical equation to which keeps us on this earth why could we not reverse this equation to create a anti. In lemans terms we know that gravity is due to the force and preassure of space surrounding us also due to the rotation of the earth and the moons orbit, and, and, and, why can we not reverse this cycle and condence it. is it a measurement, a math equation, a dream, or all three

If an object moves horizontally at 10m/s and if it falls at 10m/s^2, which is faster ?
I am asking this because I can make a sense of a distance covered per second, but its a bit confusing to try to sense a distance covered in seconds squared.

every question i'm doing (physics homework) has "re-arrange to solve for ___" and i'm struggling. i don't have any problems doing the equations once they've been re-arranged, but i was just wondering if there was any way of explaining the process so i had a better idea of how to do it.

A person's body is producing energy internally due to metabolic processes. If the body loses more energy than metabolic processes are generating, its temperature will drop. If the drop is severe, it can be life-threatening. Suppose a person is unclothed and energy is being lost via radiation from a body surface area of 1.42 m2, which has a temperature of 34 °C and an emissivity of 0.621. Suppose that metabolic processes are producing energy at a rate of 138 J/s. What is the temperature in Kelvin of the coldest room in which this person could stand and not experience a drop in body temperature? Thank you.

look, i told my sister that if you compare 2 glasses, one with more water and the other with less water, the glass with more water would produce a higher pitch, but she debated with me and said the glass with less water would produce a higher pitch. what nonsense. if anyone would be kind enough to give me some proof.

I'm trying to answer a trivia question, and i just cannot find the answer. The question is "What mathematical shape does a cannonball trace in flight?" I've tried every curved based shape that I can think of, but can't come up with the right answer.

If anyone is interested in seeing the web site in question, here it is.

I have until the end of the day (Wednesday 6/13) to answer the question.

v(final) = v(initial) + at
v(final) = 0 + 10 x 5
v(final) = 50 ms-1 downwards?
