Whenever I'm in a plane, it baffles me how a crash can claim all the passengers on board in the event of a crash. I'm talking about the commerical jets. I know planes travel at fast fast speeds, but what actually kills the person first on impact? Surely not all planes are crushed like a tin can... therefore, many times certain areas of the plane are still intact. If any of you are experts in physics, or have any other knowledge... I'd like to know why most people don't usually survive plane crashes.

For example, September 11th: What do you think killed the people when it crashed into the World Trade Center? The impact of the plane alone when it crashed into the building, or the fire?

I've noticed that solar batteries are always broken up into little sections. Does each section as an individual voltaic cell - and then all of them are connected to series/parrallel?
I know that the frequancy of light affects voltage, and amplitude of light effects amperage. So with that reasoning, i figured that the size of the solar cell won't affect voltage, but would only affect amperage. So the question is this: if i take a square foot of solar cells, but make each cell really small, like a eighth of an inch square, and connect it all in serious, would i be able to make a solar cell that would output 100's of volts or electricity, but have low amperage output?

i understand Einsteins theory of relativity, how its impossible to travel faster than light because the energy used is leading up to infinity, but why is it that 2 objects traveling towards each other at the speed of light only pass at the speed of light rather than twice the speed of light?

A golf ball is hit at ground level. The ball is
observed to reach its maximum height above
ground level 8:6 s after being hit. 1.2 s after
reaching this maximum height, the ball is
observed to barely clear a fence that is 413 ft
from where it was hit.
The acceleration of gravity is 32 ft/s2 :
How high is the fence? Answer in units of
ft.

(You also have a table)
Explain the physics behind if you know.

it is a spinner game. here are the rules:(1) you take turns spinning the spinner. (2)if it lands on the white region, you get a point.(3)if it lands on the gray region, the other player gets a point. (4) the first person to get 20 points wins. do you think that the game is fair?
i don't think it is fair because if the first person lands on white all the time, then they can get 20 points first. so the first person gets an advantage. the second player has a 50/50 chance of getting into the gray area or the white area. the first person has a 50/50 chance of landing on the gray area or white area.BUT,the first person can get 20 points first. what do you think? the white and the gray areas are both half of the board.
