Newton had the genius to imagine that the force that caused an apple to fall to the ground was the same exact force that held the moon and planets in orbit. Not exactly intuitive.
Einstein, on the other hand, had the genius to deduce that both distance and time were not constant and depended on speed, acceleration and gravity. Again, not very intuitive.
Newton's work led to classical mechanics and a resurgence in scientific study.
Einstein's work led to nuclear energy and displaced classical mechanics as a foundation of physics.
Take your pick.
The first IQ test was developed in 1905. Sir Isaac Newton was born in 1642.
Ask the "someone" you were arguing with how the heck he knows what Newton's IQ was?

I don't think they can be compared; obviously, they are, but I think they were both brilliant and contributed to the field of Physics in the best possible way that they could. If Einstein had lived back in the days of Newton, whose to say that he wouldn't have thought of what Newton did? And if Newton live during the era of Einstein, maybe he would have discovered General Relativity. Newton laid the foundation for what Einstein was the build.

look, if u heavily study Einstein's concept of Relativity(the two specific and usual), u will come to appreciate that he in actuality, proved that the Newton's rules are incorrect! Newton's rules are nevertheless getting used because of the fact, they are sufficient to offer us a satisfactorily precise effect on our macroscopic scale(ignoring all of the relativistic phenomena)... yet whilst u tend to be an astrophysicist, u can't use Newton's classical rules to discover the gap and positions. think of for a 2d, if Newton did no longer even improve those eye-catching rules, then how ought to Einstein suitable them?? Newton gave physics the existence! do u understand?? Newton did all study and then became 26?? i worship Newton! we can't say who's extra constructive, till we specify a character, a trait...

Comparing two people at two different times is not easy, but Newton came up with a lot of ideas in a variety of subjects in his life. He invented calclus for himself at the age of twenty. He was even into alchemy at his time. IF you only go by productivity newton wins. At his time people were much more ignorant, and he came from a very disadvantaged background, unlike Einstein.
So you should give him some more credit.

i think they should not be compared they both are great personality but if i have to choose any one of them then i will surely go for newton
because in early days of newton newton use to stay away from limelight and only doing study after his mothers death and his contact with outer world got disconnected so many of his dicovery were not yet put forwarded so we can guess how much that person has worked.
he has done great work on calculus and his book on calculus (principia) is still the best book of mathematic

I think Newton, personally - because if he hadn't done what he did, Einstein would have needed to, and then we wouldn't have general relativity if Einstein had to waste his time on classical mechanics.
