When pilots say we are "250,000 metres above sea level" what does that mean? Is it from the take off ground to where ever the plane is in the air/sky measures 250,000 metres? or what?

What is the Actual Destructive Capabilities Of the Hydrogen Bomb,
I want to Know the Area, Circumference And Radius in Which all Living Things are destroyed if an H bomb is used.
I have used the net,but the information I get only relates to its Strength, Not Its Radius Of Destruction in Absolute terms.
The radioactive materials which spread may cause cancer but cannot kill immediately at the time of bombing,
So please give me the information about the area of its destruction.

Just talking hypothetically, if you created a giant stationary coil of wire floating just above the earth, that circled the entire earth, could you utilize the magnetic field produced by the earth to produce free energy similar to a regular generator?

Also, would it start to gradually slow the earth's rotation due to couteractive forces?

By the same token: If you took a magnet and a coil of wire into space outside of the influence of ANY gravity, could you float the magnet inside the coil of wire, and assuming that you are 100% accurate, give the magnet a spin so that it would spin indefinitely while creating free energy? Or would the magnet gradually slow down due to opposing magnetic forces?

For both "experiments" disregard any other factors such as air resistance or gravity. Just interested in the basic factors involved with the theory....

As far as I can tell, gravitons are unbounded to branes, so suppose two p-branes came within a very small distance of eachother. Would the gravity of a massive body in the first p-brane be capable of affecting a massive body within the other p-brane?

You know, the one that knocks the other etc. and then which send the force back to knock the first one again and then which continues on forever etc.

What I mean to say is, if 2 ,e.g., balls are attached to the end of a string which is,e.g. around one's finger or around a pole etc. and they are released to knock against each other then why don't they continue knocking each other forever? Where does the force which allowed therm to knock each other disappear to?

Steron, an Irish company, has today claimed they have invented a technology that produces free, clean, and constant energy. Supposing they are right, what impact do you think this would have on our world?

Steron industries of Dublin Ireland have created energy out of nothing. Here's there info:http://www.steorn.net/en/technology.aspx?p=5. If true this technology could end the worlds need for oil. Will this technology be developed or bought up by the oil industry to be hidden away?

Electromagnetic waves are shown as the charge (and magnetic fields) waving as a smooth sine curve. Is there experimental verification of such smooth sine curve?--or does it come out of the fact that maxwell equation derivation resembles a wave equation.

If an individual photon is moving (and not a train of photons) will the charge curve still be a smooth sine wave? If not what does it look like.

Have experiments with single photon been carried out to verify the shape of charge/magnetic waves for individual photons? Do they show a smooth curve or gaps??
