What is the Actual Destructive Capabilities Of the Hydrogen Bomb,
I want to Know the Area, Circumference And Radius in Which all Living Things are destroyed if an H bomb is used.
I have used the net,but the information I get only relates to its Strength, Not Its Radius Of Destruction in Absolute terms.
The radioactive materials which spread may cause cancer but cannot kill immediately at the time of bombing,
So please give me the information about the area of its destruction.

Damage depends on several factors aside from yield (strength of blast)

1. Terrain.
2. Weather and wind (Affects radiation damage)
3 Amounts of radiation produced.

Furthermore, damage is inversly proportional to the raius. The farther you are from the center of the blast, the less damage you get.

For easy analysis, let's use a 1-megaton bomb on flat terrain in perfect weather, all damage considered will just be from blast.

Total destruction: 6 miles from ground zero
Heavy damage: 6-10 miles
Heavy to Moderate: 10-12 miles
Moderate to light: 12-15 miles

PS, this applies to both hydrogen and atomic bombs. Atomic bombs, however, rarely have yields above 0.1 megaton.
