It's a little ridiculous to think that someone might pay more money to live at the top of their buildings, but this is the only reason I could think of, aside from the view, that might make someone do it.

Seriously.. I am slowly becoming convinced that the ether exists. If it looks like a fluid, acts llike a fluid, then its probably a fluid. To think that there is nothing making up the void of space seems implausible to me.

Ok, I have two physics questions that I really need help with. I can't ask my teacher because it's an assignment and he won't answer any questions and I can't ask my classmates because we each have a different assignment.
I've been sitting here for very long trying to figure out these 2 physics questions but I'm getting stuck at parts and I'm getting cramps and aches because I can't figure it out.
I'm asking for someone out there to please...if you have a little time...help me out. I've scanned my 2 questions so I'll just send them to you and if you can read them and help in anyway explain them to me or scan your answer back to me or just any sort of help.
So, if any of you have a higher education of grade 11 physics please answer this question and please give me your email address so I can send them...they're only 2 questions.
And my email address is a_shamon05@yahoo.com.
If anyone out there can help me, you have no idea how much stress will be taken off my back. Thank you.

A 1.5-kg box that is sliding on a frictionless surface with a speed of 12 m/s approaches a horizontal spring. The spring has a spring constant of 2000 N/m. (a) How far will the spring be compressed in stopping the box? (b) How far will the spring be compressed when the box's speed is reduced to half of its initial speed?

Case in point... Well that is an excellent problem with string theory that you have posed, but you know I can solve it by just making up a whole new dimension. Take that!
