God is real and He can do all things. How do you think we got here?

*Chuckles* Theres a few good examples in the bible of where God did defy physics! In the old testament to prove he was God, he had one of Isreals leaders take 20 steps- his shadow stayed in one place, then his shadow caught up to him. Now thats freaky! Another example is where God broke his own laws is when Moses had to keep his hands over his head while Isreal was in a battle with some other country. The sun was going down and they were afraid the "bad guys" would get away. Moses was told as long as his hands were over his head not only would Isreal win, but God literally stopped the earth from rotating to give enough daylight for the battle to be completed! Both of these examples break several laws- such of conservation of mass and momentum, or cause and effect.

Another example- Giedon wanted proof from God that he was the chosen leader. God made dew on the ground and not on a wool fleece. Next day, Giedon asked to reverse it- and the woolen fleece had so much water in it that Giedon filled a small bowl when he wrung it out.

How about when Jesus turned water into wine? Or when he fed- at two seperate times- 4000 men plus women and children and 5000 men plus women and children- all from some small fish and one loaf of bread? These are both examples of direct transmuation of mater- water into wine, and the other could be argued as either air into fish and bread, or maybe energy directly into mass (Notice that this would have been done without radiation shielding!)

So they answer is YES. Which really isn't suprising when you consider that God created everything, anyway!

God, as he is generally accepted to be defined, is an all powerful entity, who can create and assumable uncreate all of existence at his whim.

Some have claimed that reality itself is no more than an extension of his all powerful, all knowing infallible will.

As such, if God exists, he certainly could certainly defy physics in the sense that we think of it, although what he would truly be doing would be redefining, or remaking the laws of physics around his will. While this might defy them from our perspective, it would actually be a remaking and redefining.

Interesting question but its the other way around if you were real about this question; could you defy the Creator of the Universe who Created it and all the Physics in it.
Here is a brainer= if you were to take out all the space substance beween all the mass structure how big the Universe size is reduced to? well its a little bigger than the primordial mass that Steve Hawkins is alluding to but not much bigger. It certainly could fit under your kitchen table.

Physics is a scientific generalization based on empirical observations of physical behavior. Any new discovery could defies the current law of physics. So if mere mortals can do it why not god....if there is such a thing as god.

No.

While the laws of physics could be different, they could not be arbitrarily different. They would have to form a self consistent set that were capable of producing this universe. This is a consequence of pure logic. So if he defied these laws nothing would exist, or ever would have. Or he could, of course, be the imaginings of a lunatic.

If "God" was real it would reflect an "intelligence/purpose/intent" present in the "place where there's no space or time" that actualized all space and time in our physical universe at the instant of the Big Bang. At that instant all the laws of physics that affect matter and energy in our physical universe were determined either by intent or solely by the essence of physical space/time existence..

I personally believe/have experienced that a part of the physical universe--for humans, our "souls"--operate outside of this physical universe, and, since they are still part of that original "place" and not restricted by space/time, are also outside the laws of physics. It's pretty clear that that's where we "come from" before we're born into the physical universe and where we "go to" when we're disattached from it by death. Of course, there's no need in this scenario to postulate a "God," as by definition that "place where there's no space or time" has always/never existed whether there's volition involved or not .

He MADE physics. The laws would change at His whim. Only mankind defies God. Physics can't.

I think it's a silly proposition to assume that the laws of physics can be changed. Any time we try to unravel the mysteries of the universe from any standpoint other than pure science our reasoning begins to break down.

Of course, God COULD create a rock so big He could not move it.....BUT He is also wise enough not to.

there are some things God cannot do:
1. He cannot lie,
2. He cannot reject you if you repent of sin and ask Jesus into your life.
