Consider a universe in which you can only see an observable universe. If the expansion of the universe is an expansion of space itself then surely a collapsing universe would look the same, ie. objects at greater distance would be rushing toward the collapse at a greater rate or you would be rushing towards the collapse at a greater rate than objects on the other side. In both of these it would appear that the space between objects was increasing and indeed at an increasing rate. That is to say that the expansion is a collapse and appears as an expansion who's rate is increasing?

I'm not religious, but if the Big Bang did take place, something had to initiate it... what was that? I heard it was gravity and material got dense... etc., but what initiated the whole process?

Black holes are objects so massive, that their escape velocity is the speed of light.

A graviton is a particle of gravity which travels at the speed of light.

So how would a graviton escape a black hole, since it travels below its escape velocity?

But if gravity can't escape the black hole, how would space around the hole get warped? Or would the space surrounding the mass be more of a "black cliff", where anything that crossed the Swartzchild radius would enter, but nothing else would even detect the black hole's presence (except for Hawing raditation)?

Something's not making sense here. Hopefully, it's just me.

I recently saw a CNN report of Denny Klein and his Ford Escort going 100 miles on 4 ounces of water. He converted water to HHO and powered a car with this...the by product being water. The story claimed it was Nuclear Reactor energy with the stability of water.
Mr. Klein is off to Washington to cut a deal for fueling military vehicles...I'm kind of wondering why we don't use this for cars? I have friends that have rigged their own vehicles to run on Cooking oil...Mr. Klein rigged his own car to run this "nuclear" system...I think he should teach unemployed mechanics to rig other cars in the same manner and they can self-employ their services doing everyone's cars...

So my questions are, why aren't we exploiting this technology and why are scientists saying that "we" aren't ready for this yet? i don't know about you, but I'm ready to put the thieves at OPEC out of business.

What if.... E=mc2 is only true in proximity to a massive object (e.g. a planet). What if when you move away from a massive object that your speed is not affected by your mass. So space travel across galaxies is possible and almost instantaneous.

This would mean that as soon as we leave our solar system, space travel is easy and the universe is not quite as big as we thought. What do you think?

Einstien had several wives but the first one he married was persuing a degree in theoretical physics aswell. A women the other day told me that she proposed relativity and some of his other theories but not him. I underrstand the debate that she could have contributed to some of his theories. what is your opinion.

i dont believe all that conspiracy crap about 9/11. ive heard enough debunks on everything EXCEPT on how the towers fell so quickly. the theorists are saying it fell @ the speed of gravity and there was no resistance slowing it down just like if would have done if it were a controlled demolition. i havent heard ANY debunks on this. can anyone explain this?? i dont want to beleive that conspiracy crap but if no one can explain this then theres no other choice. i also havent heard a good explanation of building 7 either.
