I understana that Ohm's Law is V=IR, but how do I use this law to give an alternative set of units that could be used to designate the voltage? I've tried to search every where possible to figure this out, but everything I read loses me. Can some please explain this so it its easy to understand?

So, I am having an argument with someone about whether a leather couch or at least the leather part of the leather couch is or is not water proof. I dont own one so I am asking people who do. If you spill a drink on your leather couch, the liquid will just bead and you can wipe it up correct? Does it stain the couch at all? What do you think?
