Like in "Star Gate" which I generally liked, they send the probe through the gate and they somehow know where it is on the other side of the "known universe" instantaneously. Doesn't that violate special relativity?
And what about "Armageddon" They land on an asteroid with no atmosphere, and somehow there is a fire burning on the surface?? WTF?
One time on Star Trek I heard Geordie say "Minus 300 degrees celcius" in regard to the surface temp of a planet or moon... well isn't that BELOW absolute zero?? Who proof-reads this stuff?... just wondering.

I was tested as a 13-year-old and wonder if my results would still be the same today.

I don't get it. Creationism is so wrong and innacurate, every time I hear about it I just want to fall on the ground and roll over with laughter. Ridiculous things like the Universe is 6000 years old or that humans lived along side dinossaurs are so preposterous. Do people who believe in creationism lack the capability of thinking logically?
Pretty much every major religion (Christians main denomination such as Catholic, Anglican and Orthodox as well as Muslims, Budhists and Jews) agree with evolution and that the universe is about 15 billion years old. Are evangelicals the only ones that are in the dark ages about this?

Do you think paralle universes exist? If they do does that mean thet they are constantly being generated because, of the choices we make? If it is true... is it possible to tap in to these other realities. Is there any way to prove or, disprove this theory? What are your thoughts.

I think we may finally master magnetic levitation for daily transport, there is even a floating bed made with magnets already! There will be special helmets that probe different sectors of the brain and provide a correct electrical shock, therby making school no longer than ::snaps fingers:: that. What do you hope will be invented by then? Please give an explanation if possible.

I got home from work and went to sit on my patio swing and noticed a straight, diagonal burnt line in my patio swing. It is metal with a plastic mesh cover and cushion. It faces my back door and windows. Why would this happen and how do I prevent it from happening agian?

Side note: It was 105 degrees F yesterday.

Mention God or evolution in a simple question and everyone goes berserk.

E.g. one person said "why do stupid people believe in God?" Everyone assumed that she was saying people that believe in God are stupid and they jumped all over her ***. (Try re-reading it carefully!)

If you're secure in your beliefs, why get touchy when someone asks a question about it?
