No, The earth has enough crude for lifetimes to come. The Oil that we know of is constantly being replaced by mother nature. The problem with a shortage is that humans use more than can be replaced naturally. The Idea is to slow consumption to boost volume.

Absolutely - but when is the question.
We have a finite supply of oil and natural gas. The easy stuff has been found. Now we have to drill deeper and deeper and look in other more difficult places. Oil is also locked up in tar sands and oil shales, but exceedingly expensive to extract. Right now it costs more to extract the oil from these sources than it would bring in.
We've come a long way since "Col." Edwin Drake drilled the first oil well in Titusville, PA in 1859.
Coal conversion, bio-fuels, ethanol, etc. offer alternatives, but, again economics are a big factor.
Cheapest fuels now are: oil and natural gas, coal, and nuclear power.
Are we out of cheap oil and gas, yes. Its not that we cannot produce more gasoline, etc., we are at our refining capacity. And as demand increases in the world, so will the prices.
Its the law of supply and demand. Its how our country's economic structure runs

Eventualy the supply will deminish to such an extent that we are forced to use alternative fuel sources. Many oil fields are depleted. As supply dwindles the price will increase. The price will be prohibitive. Although the crude may not run out in our life time we have few energy alternatives and it will take many years before energy alternative are found.

That depends on the demand. There are chemical processses to turn anything into oil, so when that process is fine tuned and shown to produce oil at a cost that is lower than the current price of crude, then we will stop pumping the stuff and convert our garbage into petroleum instead. Then, it will be a matter of converting enough matter into oil to sustain the proces indefinitely.

Probably not..
We are certainly running out of cheap crude oil but there are
huge sources of oil in Colorado Shale & Canadian Sands.
By the time we get through much of of the expensive oil, we will have developed other sources of energy..

Have we run out of sperm whale oil? This used to be the primary fuel used in lamps because it was so clean burning. But I'm sure you could still buy it if you are willing to pay the price.
So yes, eventually there will be few if any vehicles driving around on gasoline. But you will still be able to buy small quantities at a high price.

Yes, it is predicted that our grandchildren will not have crude oil. Of course, that is not taking into consideration alternative crude oil supplies... such as the tar sands of Canada.

Yes. By 2100 year.
Since they are extincitable sources.
Alternative to crude oil we are going to use bio-diesel or Electricity or solar energy.
