question i am working on for hw reads as follows

One of Einstein;s most amazing predictions was that light traveling from distant stars would bend around the sun on the way to earth. His calculations involved solving for θ in the equation

sinθ + b(1+cos^2 θ + cosθ) = 0

where b is a very small positive constant.

Question: Expand the left-hand side of the equation in Taylor Series about θ = 0 , disregarding terms of order θ^2 and higher. (Your answer will involve b)

I am very stuck on this question, any help would be appreciated.

There are many numbers from 1 to 1000 whose sum of its digits is 4. For example, 310, has a sum of 4 for its digits (3 + 1 + 0= 4).

If there are "b" numbers with this property and "a" of these are prime numbers, then determine the value of:

a
---
b

Directions: Find the domain of the function using exact form (no decimal approximations) and completely reduced.

Function: f(x)= {10th root of (7x-1)} / {4th root of (5-3x)}

basically i have to restrict what x can equal. one answer i've gotten already is that x cannot equal -5/3, but i'm pretty sure there's at least one more answer...
