You need to solve for X by putting all of the terms with X on one side of the equation.

step 2. subtract 60x on both sides of the equation
8x-60x-36=60x-60x-36
-52x-36=-36

step 3 add 36 to each side of the equation
-52x-36+36=-36+36
52x=0

step 4 divide each side by 52.
52x/52=0/52
x=0 is your answer

OK

You are doing good --

8x -36 = 60x -36; now add 36 to both
8x = 60x

The only way for this to be true is x = 0.

Hope that helps.
